Not to whine but tons of works need to be put into the next wwe game . | | Hart White from Phoenix , Arizona USA says (27/Mar/2004): | First off the game was fun for about a season not to be rude but why does the same wrestler have the same story line . if its not to much to ask could you atleast let us choose from a variety of storylines . Blood sucked i mean it looked like they got a can of spray paint and put it all over there faces . The faces of the superstars could have actually resembled the superstar a little bit better make note it looked like they got out of the shower every time we saw them . The game needs more enhanced intros and superstar stats . Like the intros movie and music was not updated what so ever . I notice the new undertaker has way worse stats then old school do i hear screw up . I found that hctp looked in the past for some of their story ideas BAD IDEA make up ones we have never seen before i mean get real . Finally submisions have button mashing now it feels as if i am playing the wrestling game . You mad alot of the superstar idiots for example when you talk to eddie gurerro he thinks hes in a different state like he is that dumb . Ooooo ahhhh look at the little lines they call fireworks . i mean give me a break you actually think that looks good . I have to admit times are changing and the video game is in the past thats boring . it seemed to fend off shut your mouth alot . Overall this game was another clone i mean it made no your role look good and thats bad . No disrespect you guyz slacked major . but dont put yourselfes down i bet you were just trying to make us think the next 1 would be awsome and it BETTER BE !!!!!!!!

Smackdown 5 HCTP...a game that put the other games in the closet to get dust.
It has everything people wanted even Bra and Panties match, match that we werent expecting...People come on...how would they know that Buried Alive would be around later in the WWE...Dont ask for that now...cause the game is out...Ask that for the next one...Casket match is a good match but then it wouldnt be realistic if you want it to be like WWE cause since when WWE had a Casket match??? thats old...but not bad idea.OK Chill son...
Anyways the roster is a good amount of wrestlers, all the ACTIVE ones...thats why Jeff aint there or Hogan and some others...But for the next Game it would be awesome to include Mordecai, Eugene, Kenso Suzuki, Scotty 2 Hotty, Billy Kidman, Billy Gunn, Hardcore Holly, Rosey (S.H.I.T) lol..., Toyson Tomko, Jamie Noble, Spike, Chavo Guerrero Classic, La Resistance, and others but cant forget the new and improved Undertaker with the creepy Theme song and Dark entrance with Paul Bearer.
Also for the next game to include Updated superstars like JLB and Kane without the shirt and his Theme song. RVD theme song, Dudleys song...Update superstars entrance video, like Y2Js, and John Cena. Shawn Micheals new crapy entrance, if only they would still do fireworks in ring when he does his thing. No not the ramp...I know theres fireworks on the stage.
Submission System the best... its intense. but dont make it harder when you put Difficulty on Smackdown, I kick behinds, but I cant tap out anybody, only on easy and normal.
Included some real legends in my opinion like Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Andre the Giant, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Vader, Cactus Jack or Mankind, Yokozuna, Sting even though hes not WWE wrestler. He is cool...
The Season mode is good and on the next game they should have it to date, and at least LET 2 PLAYERS in the season mode like Smackdown 1 and 2 for PS. so I can grab the Tag Title with my bro you know.
Creating a superstar is great, there is a lot of variety of clothes and stuff for your created wrestler, but on the next game again...to at least include some orignal items or clothes... like if you want to do Ultimate Warriors paint of face, that you dont have to use like 5 to 6 layers to do a look like, just get the real thing.
Edit original superstar moves is an awesome way to keep wrestlers updated, but at least we should be abel to update their attire or looks, you know.
Gameplay, Graphics and Sound are awesome no comments...Hope for better game than it already is this fall for WWE Smackdown vs. Raw. Thats gonna be sweet. I know smackdown wont let us down and rip us of with cr< remove me > at p like, Gamecube and Xbox wrestling games, (no offense) but PS2 games rock... peace out. ;)

The story mode is the best you could get. first you can get a manager and fall in love with her like I did I was big pappa pump and it was stacie kiebler they celebrated a win shook hands thn kissed for ages on the top of the ramp.
Second you can actually make up a faction you have a list of names to call it e.g evolution, Legion of doom, The nation of domination and more I have 4 members in my faction Stone cold, HBK, Stacie Kiebler, and me scott stiner. and vince has made a faction of Y2J, HHH and Ric Flair and they are having a war now.
Classic superstars brilliant idea need thier own entrance music and videos though.
The entrances need to be like Raw2 and wrestlemania XIX
full and not for them to be on the ramp then suddenly in the ring but a full flow with every step not bits missed up

Heading into WrestleMania XX, the WWE is about to lose one of it's biggest stars before he even reaches his full potential...Brock Lesnar.
Like everything in the world wrestling, you should take any retirement announcements with a grain of salt. While he has yet to announce to the public that he is walking away, the WWE staff has apparently already been notified of his intent to quit wrestling after WrestleMania XX this Sunday.
This puts the WWE in the undesirable position of having a big match, with no real payoff. This is already Goldberg's last match in the WWE, and now it appears it could be Brock Lesnar's as well. Where do they go with this storyline if both men leave after the match?
The word making the rounds is that Brock is interested in trying his hand at professional football, and a career in the NFL.
Brock was courted by several NFL teams after he graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2000. He was invited to several tryout camps, and seriously considered becoming a football player before the WWE swooped in and signed him to a contract to follow in Kurt Angle's footsteps from amateur wrestling champion... to wrestling superstar.
Is it a negotiating ploy to get a lighter schedule? Could be.
This could be Brock's way of forcing the WWE into giving in to some of his recent demands for a lighter schedule, and more say in how the company is booking him. It's no secret that he has been upset with his position within the company for several weeks now, and this could be his way of making the company give in to his demands.
Is Brock Lesnar really gone from wrestling for good? Don't count on it, but stranger things have happened.

When a wrestler has finished his entrance and taunts, the next wrestler comes out. But when he (the next wrestler) enters the ring, you can't see the previous wrestler. I still give it 10 upon 10.There are also strong wrestlers like Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Triple H. Their moves are real and there is a refree in the ring so if u are in a DQ match and u want to win easily, you can take the chair from underneath the apron (left or right) and hit the refree with a DDT on the chair and the refree will faint giving you a great chance to nail your opponet. But if u nail ur opponet when the refree has woken up, u will get disqualified (even if the refree is drowzy. Also they have new matches like Elimination Chamber, First Blood and Bra and Panties. Here is a secret. If u use Chris Jericho and u keep punching the opponet until it looks like he's gonna fall, press Down and Circle and u will do the Walls Of Jerciho on the ladder. Others are all suplex except Eddie Guerrero who does an arm drag. Oh here is another secret. If you modify a wrestler's finishing move to Swanton Bomb, and u do the same thing as mentioned above (the puching part) and again if the opponet looks like he's gonna fall, press Down and Circle. This moves rocks as you will push the opponet down and do your Swanton Bomb but dun worry if u miss as u will not be injured. BUT do not climb back up the ladder and do the actual Swanton Bomb as u will fly out (and if the amount of damage your superstar can withstand or also known as Endurance is low, your body will be injured badly). In Season Mode, there is a part when JR will come and ask u if u want to be in a faction or work as a single superstar.If u choose faction, u can choose your own team members but be careful as later in the game, Vine will form his own faction to fight against u and if that is not bad enough for you, he will ask u to fight in an elimination chamber but ur friends can't join so it's only u with the other 5 competitors. But dun worry in the elimination chamber, they dun act like friends insteadt they act like they were enemies. Well that's all i have to say. BYE

I think the moves are too confusing. we dont need so many moves for our created superstars. As far as the legends go...its a nice addition. But i ask you...Where the heck is andre the giant, and mankind? hey lets not forget about hulk hogan either. these guys are legends too. i dont like the b and p matches for divas. our country is all ready immoral enough and what kind of example does this set for our younger fans that play this game. the comentaries could be better too. in the other games like just bring it and stuff they actually called the moves as you wrestled. we need this on this game. another bad point is shawn michaels rating. an 80???? he is so much better than that. he's a legend! i expect him to be the next WWE champion. he's destined for that. well i cant fill in 200 words so i got to start going crazy. thanks for your time. joseph.

But their is one thing i wanted to see on this and thats 2 player season.. If it had a lot of legends in it, then it should have had Hulk Hogan, Ricky the Dragon Steambolt. The season was great but i wouldve liked to seen Stone Cold come as GM. I have a lot of ideas for the next Smack Down. Like u have even more blood, climb up the titantron, fight on top of a chamber, and stuff like that. Also in season mode once u finish unlocking everything what can u use your money for. Also it needs a buried alive match, ambulance match, stretcher match and stuff like that. It needs to bring a match from WCW the 3 Cells on top of each other. It needs to be able to have more ppl in the ring wiht Royal Rumble. John Cena needs to rap in the matches. Mick Foley needs to be in it. Pink slip on the poll match, and other stuff on the poll. Zach Gowen, Jeff Hardy, Mr. America needs to be on it. It needs to have a lot more matches, in season it needs to have bra and panties matches.

Wrestelmania in a Hell In A Cell match) . The match typs are brilliant, me and my friends would just sit playing Bra & pnties matches because their so funny, Elimonation chamber matches are good to (on the next game they should mack bra & panties Elimonaton Chamber that would be so cool) the gameplay is great i could see myself playing it for days at a time . I promous you i will be playing this game for years to come. the fun factor i would say is 10 because i do play this game for dayes at at a time. Im sorry to say that the game cant realy be original because thera has bean 4 or 5 Smack Down games before it . I would say i payed the rite amount for this game ,30 British pounds . The main reason i like the game is its just brilience on a disc , there would only be two things i would add and they would be creat a move so you could make your own finishing move and download your face so you could put your face on your created wrestler and be in the match your self .

First off, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VOICES. there were apsolutly NO voice overs AT ALL in this game (even though i read several previews that said it would be COVERED with voices ). also, what happened to the season mode. sure the storylines were great-recapping some of the greatest moments in wwe history (the beer bath, Matt hardy's and Lita's kiss on tv, shawm micheal's zipline entrance, etc.) but they came few and far between. also, the question on everybodys mind, WHAT HAPPENED TO JEFF HARDY(Mick Foley and Shane O' Mac too, but mainly JH),he is like the greatest wrestler to be on a vidio game, and the worst part is, i cant even create him!!!!! and i'm like the greatest CAW creator in the world (send me a pic, i'll create you-if i can get my email to work again)but i cant create JEFF HARDY!!! There is a whole list of things that i wish they brought over from SD 3 & 4 and put into here. I guess the creators of the game were too busy trying to update their already failing games (well, not THQ, but the others). if i could make a comment to the creators, it would be this: Look at the posative notes left from SD 3,4(&5)and see what everbody liked, then put it in, then go back and look at what everybody wanted (back) and include those, if you run out of room, take out some of the lamer matches that you guys put in, like the special ref match, not too many people play that with intensity, or the lumberjack match-i've NEVER played that. the creators really need to find out what the gamers want. we dont need another company telling us what we want-we need a listening company. Look, i dont care how long it takes for smackdown 6 to come out, but as long as the creators of the game have taken the time to read the reviews by the players of the previous smackdown games, and even do a few (hundred) surveys, and the game ends up being the best damn game that i, or anyone has ever and will ever play, then i say the wait is damn well worth it. (phew)

So far there's 54 of the 65 confirmed roster list realeased by THQ on this page. As manic fan of the Smackdown! game series, playing this latest installment on the PS2 will truly bring hours and hours of exhilerating gameplay, as many other fans will agree with me.

They should put a buired Alive Match in the new game. As well as Lingerie Match. Where Divas can wrestle in the lingerie. Also, there should be a Bikini challange Match. I'm all for the extra Diva Matches.
There should also be an open match. Like at Wrestlemania XX. Where the wrestlers enter at the beginning of the match. 2 people should start off and then when someone in pinned, another superstar shoud come in.
I also think managers should enter with the superstar. I also want to see more wrestlers in the game. Like Gail Kim, Tyson Tomko, Molly Holly and Shane McMahon, ect.
You should also have rest, encourage, manipulate, attack icons. This game should be the best yet. So there should be more superstars and More Divas. There should be enhanced Story Mode.
Most of all there should be more matches to choose from. And the Divas should be able to bleed too! Also there should be more moves. I dont know if there is a name for the game. But it should 100% Stratusfaction Guarenteed! If some of this stuff is in the game, I will be very pleased. And so will others. Hope the game if fantastic.

In the other side holy crap you know how rare you are ganna get a title shot? i have stacy keibler in raw 2 as heavywreith and wwe champ and tag both titles /w lita. shes womens champ and cruiserweight i think cruiser. so what maybe not on smackdown htcp they cant gget all belts. they cant bleed in either (the woman cant) but the creating peopole is so cool. No hulk hogan but well next one thwey should. | HERE COMES THE PAIN - LAYIN THA SMACKDOWN (cheesy huh??) | | GArchie from Scotland UK says (18/Nov/2003): | Smackdown5 has completely out done any other wrestling game on any other console, and definately the best from every previous SD. The wrestlers look as good as ever, but I have heard complaints about hair going thru shoulders, arms and legs disappearing thru the canvas, and maybe we shouldn't take that saying "stick my foot up ur a**" so literally anymore. Complaints about where Hogan has gone? What about keeping up with the times people??? Hogan should be in the game as a legend but not as one of the "recent" characters, after all, the good people at THQ went thru alot to get the game as UP TO DATE as possible with new tattoos, haircuts, and de-masking to take care of. The season mode is MUCH better, without having to run around looking for a fight, and u dont have to go thru 2 painstakingly long years to get to the credits (which btw are cool at the end seeing John Cena rappin!!) and u get to make different and much more choices taking u down different roads in the game. This game is much more arcadey with that new grappling system. The first SD would let u do no more than 4 front face grapples, SD4 would give u 8 of them if u stunned ur opponent, but SD5 gives u 16 different grapples which gives more variation in matches. I like Bras and Panties, the Elimination Chamber, Bra and Panties, First Blood and the Bras and Panties matches, new to the game. The blood aint fantastic, but I'll bet anyone who has played the game purposely tries to bust open their opponent to see it!!! The matches themselves or the Season commentary could been improved instead of texted out and more wrestlers could be included eg Zach Gowen, Nathan Jones, Jamie Noble (even tho his moves are in create mode)Maven, Al Snow or the Bashams, or just to make sure THQ or any other producer doesnt have an issue with keeping up to date, why not just include the new superstars before they're introduced to the WWE like, 2 months before the game's release, because they get the chance to meet each superstar for the body scanning . . . WWE SD5 HCTP is the best wrestling genre game available, it aims to entertain us the way WWE does, and for me, this game has done that.
| top game but needs changes | | kesenaw from england says (17/Jun/2004): | i have played this game a whole lot since i got it last christmas, but i always thought it needed changes. the graphics are brill and the sound and gameplay are great, but it is not very up to date, on raw2 you can change the outfits of the superstars, i think this would be a good thing to add into the next game as it allows flexibility of the superstars, you can also use this to keep the charachters up to date. i got real excited when i saw a way to unlock the buried alive math from a cheat site, i played the game following all the steps the site told me to, but the hint turned out to be a dud. that made me mad as buried alive is a great match. i loved this game because it has all the makings needed for greatness, but i still think hogan should be on it along with the F.B.I and eugene and chavo guerero classic. and i also think that the entrances should be longer as shawn michaels music reaches some really great guitars further on. i also think that sawn michaels overall stats should be 90 just like triple h's as they are just as good as each other. you should also be able to get weapons from under the ring in a hell in a cell match cos i have never seen a hell in a cell where they didnt use weapons.

I think this game is gonna be the best of all time because you can actually have BLOOD!!!! Now thats an improvement. I think this game will also be one of the best because you get new match types like elimanation chamber, bra and panties, firts blood, etc....., plus you get to get some of the newest wwe superstars in it goldberg, rey, steiner, etc... All though these are some of the great new advantages here are some of the ones i would like to see in this game. You can hit youre music and titan tron when interfearing, you get to go over the barracade wall and when you do like some moves like through tables it hurts more, maybe even i think you should be able to defend titles in exbidition mode. But thats just my opion.

I mean i am a huge follower of womens wrestling and usually use the women on sym although the womens role in the game has been expanded more it still doesnt have enough! I mean no molly, gail, jacqueline,ivory,shaniqua, terri or Miss jackie as hurricane wud say "Wots up wit dat".
