Hi im Mike and im a Randy Orton fan but lets talk about the game | | Mike from U.K says (1/Jun/2004): | First off i have good and bad well not bad reasons but improvements. The season mode rocks, u go through things like elimination chamber. Factions, managers, royal rumble debate, zipwire entrance at wm at the end. the graphics are by far the best, and there is plenty of moves to execute, like press circle then up, down, right and left are all different moves, and thats just 1 kind of grapple. It has everymatch u need. I would of liked a scaffold match but hey, be realistic.I Like the way u can draft people from raw 2 smackdown and change face/heel. My improvents for smackdown 6 would have 2 be have a season mode but each character has their own storyline e.g if u choose kane u go through the undertaker rising again, or go the undertaker and through the season if u lose a buried alive match with kane u come back later and u pick what u want 2 scare him with like lightning and stuff. Oh and i forgot 2 mention 1 match that isnt on the game , Buried alive, but the problem could be easily sawted. Another improvement would be 2 have the voices talking, even if they are just sound alikes. And have the ability in the season mode 2 have seperate shows or bring them both together,I would also like 2 unlock people in season like eugene, paul heyman and that. My last improvement would be 2 let u edit what the superstars look like, what they are called, what they wear (they should also have 4 types of appearances) as Randy Orton wears them blue shorts and he doesent now. Anyway I look forward to seeing wat they can do 4 smackdown 6!

| game flaw found | | Adam from Somewhere in europe says (20/May/2004): | well i went to backlash and was defending the world title in a tag match against hbk and nash (tag champs at the time), my partner was goldberg, only the world title was on the line, well i won the match fair and square with goldberg pinning nash. we celebrate and i have the title around my waist again, but when i see the results screen it shows goldberg as winner and champ displayed beside his name (goldberg is the hardcore champ at this time).
at first i thought this was showing we won their tag titles, so i continued on (saving the game in the process) adn on the next RAW, i find im without a championship, if i had known goldberg would take my title if he pinned in the match, i would have gone it alone in the match, what a pain the rear this game is!!!!
has anyone else had this before?
also when a character has won a title and wears a jacket to the ring, the jacket layer of the attire keeps overlapping the belt spoiling the effect with little dots of black coming through the belt, an extra add on might be the abitily to use a belt if the user needs to

| The GREATEST game EVER | | Hpone from Singapore says (16/May/2004): | The game is very good especially with the characters but there is a problem. When a wrestler has finished his entrance and taunts, the next wrestler comes out. But when he (the next wrestler) enters the ring, you can't see the previous wrestler. I still give it 10 upon 10.There are also strong wrestlers like Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Triple H. Their moves are real and there is a refree in the ring so if u are in a DQ match and u want to win easily, you can take the chair from underneath the apron (left or right) and hit the refree with a DDT on the chair and the refree will faint giving you a great chance to nail your opponet. But if u nail ur opponet when the refree has woken up, u will get disqualified (even if the refree is drowzy. Also they have new matches like Elimination Chamber, First Blood and Bra and Panties. Here is a secret. If u use Chris Jericho and u keep punching the opponet until it looks like he's gonna fall, press Down and Circle and u will do the Walls Of Jerciho on the ladder. Others are all suplex except Eddie Guerrero who does an arm drag. Oh here is another secret. If you modify a wrestler's finishing move to Swanton Bomb, and u do the same thing as mentioned above (the puching part) and again if the opponet looks like he's gonna fall, press Down and Circle. This moves rocks as you will push the opponet down and do your Swanton Bomb but dun worry if u miss as u will not be injured. BUT do not climb back up the ladder and do the actual Swanton Bomb as u will fly out (and if the amount of damage your superstar can withstand or also known as Endurance is low, your body will be injured badly). In Season Mode, there is a part when JR will come and ask u if u want to be in a faction or work as a single superstar.If u choose faction, u can choose your own team members but be careful as later in the game, Vine will form his own faction to fight against u and if that is not bad enough for you, he will ask u to fight in an elimination chamber but ur friends can't join so it's only u with the other 5 competitors. But dun worry in the elimination chamber, they dun act like friends insteadt they act like they were enemies. Well that's all i have to say. BYE

| WE NEED MORE!!! | | ICP_Taker_9814 from A Little Po Dunk Town You've Never Heard Of, Connecticut says (11/Apr/2004): | Listen, i know you can only include a limmited amount of things in a disk, but for goodness sake, fill up the disk. the creaters of the game couldve done so much more to improve the game-true they did have some improvements, like the ability to be the tag team parter AND yourself in season mode, and yes, they did update the graphics by far, but they left out some things the shouldve kept. First off, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VOICES. there were apsolutly NO voice overs AT ALL in this game (even though i read several previews that said it would be COVERED with voices ). also, what happened to the season mode. sure the storylines were great-recapping some of the greatest moments in wwe history (the beer bath, Matt hardy's and Lita's kiss on tv, shawm micheal's zipline entrance, etc.) but they came few and far between. also, the question on everybodys mind, WHAT HAPPENED TO JEFF HARDY(Mick Foley and Shane O' Mac too, but mainly JH),he is like the greatest wrestler to be on a vidio game, and the worst part is, i cant even create him!!!!! and i'm like the greatest CAW creator in the world (send me a pic, i'll create you-if i can get my email to work again)but i cant create JEFF HARDY!!! There is a whole list of things that i wish they brought over from SD 3 & 4 and put into here. I guess the creators of the game were too busy trying to update their already failing games (well, not THQ, but the others). if i could make a comment to the creators, it would be this: Look at the posative notes left from SD 3,4(&5)and see what everbody liked, then put it in, then go back and look at what everybody wanted (back) and include those, if you run out of room, take out some of the lamer matches that you guys put in, like the special ref match, not too many people play that with intensity, or the lumberjack match-i've NEVER played that. the creators really need to find out what the gamers want. we dont need another company telling us what we want-we need a listening company. Look, i dont care how long it takes for smackdown 6 to come out, but as long as the creators of the game have taken the time to read the reviews by the players of the previous smackdown games, and even do a few (hundred) surveys, and the game ends up being the best damn game that i, or anyone has ever and will ever play, then i say the wait is damn well worth it. (phew)

First The fact that you have to go through a whole season of tough fights and long, grueling tag-teams which can be very mentally exausting. The mind has a strange effect when tired which I find causes hunger.
Secondly,I find the bright colored suits they wear much like cany wrappings and often they give me a strong craving for a chocolate kiss.
Thirdly, due to the tremendous number of japanese, chinese, mexican, ect. wrestelers it often causes my mind to fill with thought of sitting with my favorite wresteler eating a casadias, egg-rolls, or other ethnic foods.
Finnaly, off subject, I don't understand why they make the weak guys go first. I mean they suck, they are really crappy and I hate getting stuck with some looser who can barely walk more the less stand. I hate that gay, dumb, part.

The blood is cool, but it should be able to come from other places besides the face as well. Bra n' Pantys match is lots of fun, but I wish you could use created characters for it. It sucks that they got rid of commentary, but that's not too bad a problem. Also they made it too easy for opponents to reverse. I mean, I ran at Chavo with a chair while he was facefirst in the turnbuckle, and he frickin' turned around and grabbed it from me! Anyway, I also don't like the fact that the referee can call a ropebreak even though he is unconscious. Also you should be able to break the rules when he is looking a different direction, and low blows should be illegal. Hulk Hogan should be one of the legends you can buy, and so should Junkyard Dog and Andre the Giant. Also, they should let you use a title belt as a weapon. It sucks that Eddie Guerrerro doesn't ride his lowrider to the ring. However, for wrestlers that do ride vehicles to the ring, such as Undertaker, the vehicle should still be there for the rest of the match. Also, if you hurt somebody really really bad, they should still be hurt in their next match. I wish they had Buried Alive Matches, 8 and 10 man tag, and ambulance matches. Also Steve Austin should be co GM. Scotty2Hotty should have been included, along with Mick Foley and Spike Dudley. The graphcis are pretty good, except for a few clipping problems.
Okay, this sounds like a lot of bad things, but it really is a great game. I hope the creators of the game read this and consider these things for their next game, though.

Blood sucked i mean it looked like they got a can of spray paint and put it all over there faces . The faces of the superstars could have actually resembled the superstar a little bit better make note it looked like they got out of the shower every time we saw them . The game needs more enhanced intros and superstar stats . Like the intros movie and music was not updated what so ever . I notice the new undertaker has way worse stats then old school do i hear screw up . I found that hctp looked in the past for some of their story ideas BAD IDEA make up ones we have never seen before i mean get real . Finally submisions have button mashing now it feels as if i am playing the wrestling game . You mad alot of the superstar idiots for example when you talk to eddie gurerro he thinks hes in a different state like he is that dumb . Ooooo ahhhh look at the little lines they call fireworks . i mean give me a break you actually think that looks good . I have to admit times are changing and the video game is in the past thats boring . it seemed to fend off shut your mouth alot . Overall this game was another clone i mean it made no your role look good and thats bad . | Easily The Best Beat 'Em Up and Wrestling Game So Far | | 'D' from London says (17/Mar/2004): | The game is a vast improvement on the first, The graphics, sound and game play are all tough, The damage meter was very appropriate it was needed from the very first WW game thank God they got it right this time, The strength attribute is also a great thing to have so u can know which character is stronger or weaker etc, very realistic animations when a cruiserweight character attempts to pick up a heavier apponent succeeeding in a acheing back, also excellent is when a character has taken a battering theres a realistic animation of them holding their weakened body parts in agony, great entrances and arenas, errm what else is good?....Oh yeah, the bra and panty and elimination match r great, much improved season mode. BUT and a big but, the things that made the game dry were the missing elements like superstars that cant even be found in seasonmode, wheres scotty 2 Hotty, basham brothers, Shaniqua, Molly Holly, Jamie Noble, Billy Kidman, Ivory?? the list goes on and on also there should be more realism in the match e.g. comentators, journalists with cameras, interuptions in entrances, screaming yelling and shouting from the superstars. Had the game had all these missing elements I would of given it 10 out of 10. Come on THQ theres room for improvement!

Shut Your Mouth", having the right commentators, "RAW", "Smackdown", and on "PPV" shows, host the show, being able to steal, rest, encourage, so on and so forth, just like on "RAW 2", and please, make sure you have the right songs for each wrestler. For example RVD, Matt Hardy, and the Dudley Boys don't have the same song as they do on "RAW", the show, and on "Smackdown". Oh, and another thing that you should do is, when someone is being introduced before a match, do how they did on "RAW 2". You know, when someone is coming out, it says,” press X to interfere", then guy, he is wrestling, comes out and “Clotheslines” him or something like that. So basically what I am telling is to combine the two games, "RAW 2" and "Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain". It will be, without a shout of doubt, the best wrestling game ever made, now can you dig that… SUCKA!
| Pure genius | | 1-2-3 Kid from Huddersfield, United Kingdom says (13/Mar/2004): | Over all it was genius with plenty of improvement for SmackDown! 6 which it was a good thing, just for the people asking wheres The Bashams and Billy Gunn(came back after the game from injury) and others this game was made before they were on SmackDown! or Raw, if you had everything you wanted on this game what would be left for the others. also on SmackDown! 6 Brock Lesnar and Goldberg won't be on it becauce there leaving after WrestleMania 20. I would like to see the WWE logo in the bottom left corner and camera men around the ring and the isle and commentating that makes sense unlike SmackDown! Just Bring It, also i would like the SmackDown commentaters hosting SmackDown! and the Raw commentaters hosting Raw. I would also like to see the little things in the game that make the WWE what it is today like having to work on House Shows to prove you are good enough to be on Raw or SmackDown! To me create mode could of been a lot better, they need a wider selection of clothing. I would love it if there was a Strap match and an Inferno match (class), but they should spread it out so that we have something to look forward to each time they make a SmackDown! game
| grls in the wwe | | stacey from england says (11/Mar/2004): | i think that the game smackdown here comes the pain is a little sexist what i mean is women are unable to win any title other than the womens championship and i fail to see how that shows in real life i mean did chyna not win the a few championships the intercontinental european and the cruserweight champion ship for instance. how come u cant place men in paddle on a pole matches or chocolate pudding matches. is it just me or does a man in the season mode get to oggle at a womans body but a woman cant do the same. If a man wants a manager its a woman in season mode if a man looses his manager he is known as a cowward. This game is good with very little room for improvement and cuttos on the price i got my copy for £10 i think the graphics are great with alot of detail except the crowd where they do verry little movement and when they do move they repeat there movements other and other again.they also chant the wrong names during your match and the wrong insults.The controlers are not very diffrent from the last game or the game before that the body damage meter is great and the realism of the strength of the person trying to pick up there opponent is great.

Ok were do we start with the good things of the game.I,ll list them blood,chamber match,bra and panties,better season, weapons do REAL damage,body to show the pain meter, take of top turnbuckle, reverse top rope moves and every thing about the game is BO SELECTA. God this game rules yup RULES. Lets face it jeff hardy wasnt great, you wouldnt go through with a freak all the time you need goldberg.Hogans time has come to an end, new era and well... shane is good but hes not a consistent wrestler. Well now lets get to the commentary. Lets face it commentary in the last game was bland. tazz.... lost the match... YAWN. Well i think proved my points here. i got some tips to.
1)When you are the hardcore champion and you get attacked in the parking lot there is a very easy way to win. Press 0 and irish whip him into the wwe lorry. you know that 18 wheeler. Then he will jump up there but don,t follow him. just wait and watch him fall and injure himself badly. oh the humiliation. you can repeat this.
2)In the ring when you wanna hit the ref don,t focus on him. when he,s in your sights run towards him and hit X. you'll hit the ref and then go get that sledge hammer and batter your opponent. easy win :). any way c ya. ruuuuuulllllllllleeeeeeezzzzzzz this game.

| all in all it was a good game | | Jonathan from London, England says (19/Feb/2004): | I think its a good game it could have been better than they made it I think there could have had some more levels but all in all it was a pretty good game. there could have been better players and in create mode you should have got some more points to buy atleast five in every bit of amunition points I think it could have been 10 times better than it is. If anybody wants to buy the game, though it could have been better than it is, i still think you should buy the game if you are a wrestling fan i think you should buy the game but thats your choice not mine. I found Season mode very hard. I think they should have made the players even crapper than they were. and in exhibition mode the hell in a cell game was pretty hard so if you buy it you should go in to create mode. But I think create mode should not have been so long to make your person and they were all girl suits i think that that was crap and they should have better suits and more people to choose from so that you can get a better build of the body. I think they should have better moves and should have more speed and more strength.
