After playing this game, I realized this is ONE of the greatest PS2 games out there. Starting with the good. Graphics are pretty astounding. First time I've seen a game where the entire environment is living breathing...Stuff...And the creators did a very good job pulling it off. Fun factor is very high. Gameplay is perfect. Being able to morph at will is a nice way to increase the fun factor. And because of the ability to morph, you can pull off some nice combo's. The other great trait of combonaton moves is the Time Dilation. You're able to freeze time and do some "sick" matrix like combo's on your enemies while time is at a halt. Story has it's good parts, and it's not too good parts. Customizing your character is well done, there's plenty of purchasable parts to get, but it's all the same. Music and sound effects work well with the environments, and they work well with each other. The best thing about the game is the characters. In my opinion, Stome is probably the funniest badass character in any game made to date. The replay value is off the chart...
...And that brings us the downfalls. Though the replay value is high, it wont let you restart a save game, you have to start a brand new game. The levels are too short, it's all really simple. You have your learning levels, endurence levels, puzzle levels, and so on. There isn't much variaty in the game. The game itself is also a bit short.
So overall, the game is almost perfect, it's just too short. I highly recomend it to any fan of handing bad guys their own butt. This game get's a well deserved Nine...Out of Ten.
| fun | | nad from fl says (19/May/2004): | I'm givin' the game an 8 because I haven't finished it yet and parts of the story are cheesy. It's a fun play though man. Nice combo of fast fingered fighting and puzzle game play. Morphin is smooth and it feels good to pull of some major time dilation damage. There could be more to the upgrades that you purchase in the game but the fact that you have some choice on how your character develops should make it possible to play the game a couple times with variation.
| great game | | game hq from waterfod mi, usa says (23/Aug/2003): | the game it self is good graphic's are good but storyline could be better so i'm giving it and 8 so get the game and just play for fun thats what it is you can morph into thing's and blow the crap otta thing' or morph and bam your a lean mean baddie betin maching so go get it!!
