NFSU has really improved with the last few other NFS. Instead of racing around forests, and beaches, and downtown LA, NFSU has taken it's "Night Club" spin off, and I thank EA for trying something new. NFSU once your in the main menu, you can tell it's hard core. The music fits the game well, and the story mode. It's a almost clone of "2 Fast 2 Furious" with some new stuff of it's own. Like most NFS, NFSU has (has always) a customization. Your able to unlock neon lights, body kits, vinyal kits, and change your car into a mix of club color. For the spot for the racing, you race in a late night downtown, that looked like it has poured rain on it. I thought it was neat because it reflects the light from your car, and makes you go faster. New on NFSU, you can Drift, Drag, and go Online as well. But the thing you won't like on NFSU, is working the cheats. What I mean is, when you press a button for a cheat, all of the cheats want you to press the Up button. Guess what? It doesn't work. Well, it's more fun to play the game itself, and not race though it using cheats.

Need For Speed Underground is the best game in the world. my favorite part is where you can get your favorite tuner and custimize it 2 your liking. i love how you can take a stock looking car and put body kits, neons, spoilers, hoods, roof scoops, decals, and vinals to make the car look like a real street racer or a car from the fast an the furious. in this game i liked how the compitition gets harder and even harder throughout the game unlike midnight club 1 and 2. i have a honda s2000 and this car is my favorite car on the game cauz it is full of speed without stage 3 nos , stage 3 wiaght management ,or stage 3 handeling. if you ask me this is the ablolute best game ever createdfor man kind. if i were u i would go to the store and buy this game right away.

I cant get much better then this!!! NFS UNderground takes every angle into consideration... Tons of body kits, hoods, vynles, neon lighting kits, engine upgrades, and paint schemes. Loads of cars to choose from. Game-play is awsum!!!! The games only downfall is the lack of flying body parts when an accident occurs.

i have played the PC demo as well as the final PS2 game. grafically the PC version is much beter, althought the PS2 doesnt disapoint. the motion blur is used really well and makes the game seem much faster than it actually is.
its insane how much you can customize your car. posibilities are seemingly endless. anyone who is a fan of street racing and tuning cars will love this aspect of the game. all parts are based on real manufacturer parts.
anyone who compares this game to gran turismo is a moron. they are nothing alike. the only similarity is that both are racing games which allow you to mod your car.
the games biggest downfall is the fact that most of the street races are very repetetive. even though there are 20 different tracks in the games they all seem eerily similar and don't provide you with much diversity. the best part of the game is the drag racing. driving in a straight line might seem boring, but trust me it isnt. your surroundings wiz by you as the camera shakes to give you the best feeling of speed ive ever experienced in a racing. hit the nitrous and the feeling is amplified 5 times over. online play is also good and will give this game hours of replay value

I think nsfu is cool and all but, i love cuztumizing the cars the game makes me mad sometimes and i want to break it in half but i keep trying sometimes i play the game so long that i blister my thumbs i'm up to level 102/111 and can't get past it if anyone has passed this level email me at i also liked the way u can unlock stuff without goin underground just by going to ouickrace and choosin drift to rack up the points blue_berry_shorty< remove me > at yahoo.com. p.s:i'm runnin a mazda mista with all the prefomance levels on it with nos and still can't beat it

it the best racing game i've played and has the coolest graphics and awesome cars. the coolest part is customizing the cars. the only flaw is that all the surroundings like the same but who realy cares as long as the street sape is diferent. and the soundtrack is cool . if you want great cheats go to ign.com. the is like real life you win races you get money and with you get cool stuff for your car. if you want to get a lot of style points keep doing the drifting tracks.if tou like racing games buy it asap.

i just turn my radio on and turn the tv down and sit in front of my bed and get pissed when i loose or wreck. when somebody comes in my room i tell them to get the f*** out and leave me alone. then i just try to concentrate and now i have unlocked a bunch of stuff. Guys think it's wierd cuz im a girl and when im bored i play that game for hours but oh well they can deal w/ it. Everbody thinks its a stupid game but its really not. The only games i play is racing games.

NFSU is the best racing game for the PS2 to date. NFSU has awsome drag racing, free style mode, and design the car of your dreams. Plus, the hip pop and rap go very well with the game. I got NFSU for Christmas, and I love this game. It's better then Midnight Club II by far. NFS is really fast paced and the citys look real and they look like it just rained, which makes it harder to controll your car, but it's tight. Plus, making that car of your dreams is so simple, a 9 year old can understand. So, don't buy MCII, and go try NFSU because it is just as good as MCII.

first of all, its the 1st time i got into playing car/racing games, its becoz nfs unground's got drag racing and thats what hooked me to play the game.... and its got NOS!!! setting up ur own car is cool....the graphics of GT is cool but NFSU's graphics is much more detailed.....the gameplay, i dnt know to other guys coz its the 1st time i got addicted on car games, but i'll say its the best, and its cool that it does not have cheats for us to play 111 or 112 tasks....the cars are cool but i wish they included more brands...the drag racing is tha best!!!! specially when u unlocked level3 nitro and skyline!!!whoooo!!! i'll give it a 10! because it got me in to playing this kind o game!!! but if they make a nxt one i'll say they must make it the best, beacause i've seen the trailer of "the fast and the furious" game, and its really good....they better make the nxt one good! NFSU is cool i recomend this game for drag or street racers....i challenge u guys to unlock SKYLINE!!!!

This game is the best game in the world. I love taking a stock car and tricking it out. I have beat the game twice. Once with a Honda Civic, and then w/ a miata. I hated running those 6-7 lap races. I do wish the game was a little longer than it is. but i love the high tension of racing hot street cars against other People on the game. It was wierd, the whole game they talk about Eddie, then you race Melissa. But i definately give the game a huge 10. (Nos is the best thing on the entire game)

NFSU is an awesome game. The graphics are tight as hell and the cars are sweet. I do agree that the traffic popping out is frustrating.I have beetin the game and now i'm workin on it again. I would like to be able to custimise ur ride more like not just buyin packages but actually workin under the hood more.I don't get how u could break ur controller over the game cause it's not that hard it just takes a while.It is the BEST!!! racing game i have played ever.The game pulls u in and makes u feel like ur actually racing. Drift-Eclipse Ever other race- Skyline or RX7. Fur real if u don't got this game get ur ass up and buy it.

This game is the best game i have ever played. I really like this game. When i got the game i pulled a all nighter and wrapped the game. I have wrapped it many times on hard and it is probably easier than having it on easy cus theres no cars and the computes have nothin to hit so they never crash and u cant mess up. I enjoy wrapping it over and over. I have nfs hot pursuit 2 and i think the graphics are way better on underground. I like the cars they have put on this game and that it has nos. this game is SOOOO awesome! See ya lata.

This is a game you must get if you love racing or driving games.This is a game you must get if you want to erase the bad memory and wasted money on games like Midnight Club racing 2. Why? Why ask Why? I'll tell you why, Customization, tracks, cars, sound, graphics, cutscenes, music, online gameplay ( not downloading times and calling it online gamelplay). Or let me put it simply, to restore the faith of how good a racing game could be after you play loser games like Burnout, Midnight Racing Club 2 and its ilk (Dont worry, I was fooled by Rockstars flashy commercials too).Whether you like simulation or arcade type playing styles, this game will satisfy your Need For Speed.I have played a few racing games in my time from Pole Position to the totally overhyped Midnight Racing Club 2. Need For Speed Underground has raised the bar. This is the game that Burnout, Midnight racing Club and all those other subpar racing games should take an look at an wish they could produce a game this good. Anyone that plays this game will have to admit this is the best racing game out there right now. I love the Tokyo Extreme Racer and Gran Turismo Series but this game has got me by the nuts. I bought this game yesterday and I played it from 6:oopm to 12:30am. I am hooked.
Lets start with the presentation. The only driving game before NFSU to impress me with the opening and get me into the whole feel of the game is the first Gran Turismo. User interface is cool, the background music that is played while you handle your business helps you to forget all the loading screens in the game.
The story line told in the cutscenes are well presented, no talking heads or cheesy childish characters, it feels like you are playing 2Fast 2Furious. The very first race in the Underground mode will let you know that EA put some serious thought and time into the story, make no mistake it aint no world class stuff but it is way better than anything I have seen in a driving game so far.
The tracks are well done, they lack variety but they look good, very good. Its is all done in the night and mostly on city streets.There are lots of straights and highspeed turns to help quench your need for speed. In the older need for speed games the tracks were beautiful but were more challenging than racing the cars. So far I have not encountered any invisible corners or really sharp gear 2 corners so you have ample time to hit triple digit speeds. There arent to many things to crash into and get stuck on, most things you hit will slow you down but keep you on the track, you wont come to a complete stop if you hit most objects. It is also very easy to discern where you are suppose to turn on the track. There are big blinking arrows that direct you around corners and you are givin good warning about corners. I hated Midnight Club 2 for making it so difficult to tell where you where suppose to go.
The game also contains traffic in the form of trucks, trolleys, cars and pickups. In some modes of the game you can chose the amount of traffic you want to have on the tracks. The traffic adds a lot to the game especially in the drag race mode.
The controls in the game are intuiative and well layed out. One of the reasons I hated Midnight Club 2 was the fact that I had was not given choice of using the analog pad to steer with, this game gives you multiple configurations for control. You can tell when the cars are bout to lose control so that helps a lot with really getting a 100% out of the game. Just tap the brakes hit x and you are back in control. It is easy to start a slide and a joy to control them.
The customizing aspects of the game are some of the best reasons to get this game but alas, you have limited control in customizing the perfomance aspects of the car. I love the fact that you can customize the hoods, wheels, wings, front and rear bumpers, paint, decals vinyl, tint, neon, headlights, rear lights among other things. You actually have a chance of creating a unique car that would be one of a kind when you put your ride online
The cars, Hmm. There is a good variety of tasty cars to spank your opponents with. From the Skyline to a Peugot, (I love the Peugot, dont see that car in games to often). The models look good and the cars are shiny and well articulated, when they crash you see the wheels bend at crazy angles. I love seeing the suspension compress when landing jumps or taking a crazy corner. The crash animations are also hot. You get a kind of slowmotion effect when there is a big crash. The sensitivity for the slowmotion camera is adjustable so you could turn it off of make it go slowmo for any little event that looks hot.
The sound, very well done, from the tire squeals to the sound of cars whooshing by, to the turbo spooling up and town to the nitrous kicking in, the sounds are some of the best in a racing game thus far. It totally immerses you in the game and helps you focus when you hit the nitros and the screen goes blurry and other background sounds get a little quiter, that was a good one EA pat yourselves on the bumper for that one. I am going to cop a surround sound system so that I can fully enjoy the sound of hearing the turbo spool up on the RX-7 while I layeth the smack down on candy a#$ drivers online.
There is a good mix of music from the Dirty south to Brooklyn, great rock music and great techno type stuff. I love the soundtrack. You can also customize the play list.
There are many types races that you can race by yourself, splitscreen and online. ONLINE ahhhhhhhh!!. Could you hear that sound? That is the sound of you throwing your pad kicking your dog and blaming everyone but yourself for the beatdown I gave you online. You can race Drift, Knockoff, Circuit, Drag, and a few other modes.
I dont want to spoil the suprise by saying too much else. Take the time I saved you by not telling you all the goods on the game and go cop the game, do your self a favor let NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND help you waste the next year of your life.Let NFSU help you wash the bad taste of Midnight Club Racing 2 or what ever they call that crap out of your mouth.

This game rules i've played it over and over again until my mom says i gotta turn it off..my best was 20 sec on drag beat that if you think you can do better meet me online and we'll see about that..But anyway this game deserves a perfect ten the graphics are awsome i've gotta tell I own every NFS there ever was even one playstation.V-rally porche unleashed but this game is the most heart sopping and tricked out import racing there ever was..Sure people say it sucks but forget them if you dont think this game rocks you got issues.No offense but this game will really set your heart racing.

The game is pritty awesome; but the same song that it play's over and over gets realy anoying. Graphics are great. I have never sat down and played a video game as long as i play this one. The best part is when you Street Race, it's all about skill, but like someone else said that when you wreck you slow all the way down and the computer halls ass. Well Don't wreck. I don't have that problem. I would recomend the game to other people who like cars and going fast. Wannna Race? Come find me......

I street race and it is kinda good put they f*** it all up becase it is stuped there are no cop chases and beleve me you get chased by cops all the time i got my 95 nissan silva imponded for a year and it sucks bad becase i have no way to get to school and my perents had to get me out of jail and they where not happy campers back to the point it is bad they had coped off other games like burnout 2 and mnc2 and put them all to gether and got nfsu. For another thing you could not drive around and meet other people and that sucked as well all you could drive on is a stuped track and no where els

The Need for Speed Legacy continues wonderfully! The music is good, the graphics are better, and the cars even better. If thats not enough then check out all of the different parts and ground FX kits. Excellent ability to customize. The nitrous blurrs are sweet. I am very close to finishing this game and can't wait to see the ending. If it is as sweet as the intro then this game has got it made. For the guy that can't drift with a front wheel drive. You have some serious driving issues. You can drift all over the place with a good car and good parts.

This game is the best game since Halo.This game is the best game I've ever played but it is fock'en frustrating.the best part about it is that you can use nos.You should use the lancer until you get the rx7 or the mitsubishi eclipse.I have beat'en this game three times first I beat it with the lancer then the rx7 then I beatit with the eclipse.(Go to google.com and put in need for speed underground cheat codes to get the best codes for that game and for others) peace out word life.
