The game is great but it would have bin better if they added more cars like a honda civic hatch back and a nissan silvia and a acura nsx and maybe a legend. the thing that would be really helpful though would be a rare view marrior.
The bad thing a bout the game is traffic pops out of no were like all racing games. If they make a part two they should put cops in it like the rest of the need for speeds and more music like some better rap songs. Could you get decals or vinals on a carbon fiber hood if so please tell me at judoboyy42< remove me > at yahoo.com because I notice that some of the cars have it and when ever I try it says I cn't do it to cange the hood to stock.

I bought this thinking it was the best racing game ever cause it looked sweet but its not. Nope it aint. its the worst racing game. Its boring. The cars stink. Import racer has better cars and this is like a dumb game. No its not like one. It is one. I think the graphics are cool though sort of, but not really. They are great compared to the rest of the game though. Need for sppeeed Hot Pursuit is something i never played but it might be better than this. NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND IS A STUPID GAME!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its so dumb I hate it.

I love racing games but I hated this. Oh wow, you can soup up crappy cars. Big friggin' deal. The actual street racing isnt even that great. The sense of speed isnt as good as I thought it would be. There should be motorcycles, like in Midnight Club II. Online play is just as fun as two players, but its not fun online or off. I wasted cash on a network adapter since Socom II is the only game worth playing. But anyway... This game blows. Gran Turismo 3 is better than this. Only an idiot would consider renting or purchasing this game. Soooooo dont buy it ok?

when i first started this game i thought it was really great until they threw in the 5,6,7 lap enduros! Its almost impossible to beat them. i am stuck on the 7 laper and im in 2 place in every other event but i just cant beat it. once im in first thinking im gonna win i crash. it is so stressful i came close to brakin something. this is the most frustrating gae ive ever played. all the other ppl are sayin they broke their contrler and crap like that well i dont blame 'em. o and if ne1 knows how to get the side skirts that stick out over your wheels and kinda make the side of the car go in let me no through this summary system!

This game is the best game since Halo.This game is the best game I've ever played but it is fock'en frustrating.the best part about it is that you can use nos.You should use the lancer until you get the rx7 or the mitsubishi eclipse.I have beat'en this game three times first I beat it with the lancer then the rx7 then I beatit with the eclipse.(Go to google.com and put in need for speed underground cheat codes to get the best codes for that game and for others) peace out word life.

This game is the best game in the world. I love taking a stock car and tricking it out. I have beat the game twice. Once with a Honda Civic, and then w/ a miata. I hated running those 6-7 lap races. I do wish the game was a little longer than it is. but i love the high tension of racing hot street cars against other People on the game. It was wierd, the whole game they talk about Eddie, then you race Melissa. But i definately give the game a huge 10. (Nos is the best thing on the entire game)

Need for speed is an amazing game that gives you hours of gameplay that have you on yhe edge of your seat all the way. It has a unique sence of speed and the graphics are amazing. The cars look amazingly life like, that even the car designers would take their hats of to. You start of with nothing, win some races get some money do up your car and then the challenge begins, win more races for better parts and new and exotic acrs. It has many different races that will challenge you in many different ways, its a brilliant game. All in all it is a great game that will give you your moneys worth and is a deffiant must have. Get this game!

My God, this is one of the worst recent attempts to make a new version of a very known game! Shame for EA, and shame for the very sucessfull Need For Speed series. I'll be simply clear:
THIS GAME SUCKS!
I tell you why, just to start, NFS Underground has stolen features and other stuff from other great games, EA made a critical attempt to launch a version of NFS wich can match with games like Burnout 2, the recent Gran Turismo series of PS2 and Midnight Club 2. It's easy to notice about that, c'mon, just look around! Does this game has anything "wich looks like NFS"? It's the most different version of a game i ever saw, and, just in case you think they didn't steal any other games features you can think about the sense at all, c'mon, isn't this a too "unstable" version of NFS? It's already a shame changin a game too much like that, what's NFS project then? A car game today and plane game tomorrow? I'm sh'ure it sounds like that.
And the game is bad itself, i mean, bad "for itself". Gameplay is very very poor, and EA tryied hard to make the game interactive with that, etc, but it just sucks. I think the only thing they thinked about are those features when edditing a car, they are cool, but, c'mon, if the Underground Mode sucks, all the games sucks too! What can we do with the cars then? And to make the shame bigger, no Pursuit Mode in here! and poor soundtrack quality even compared to NFS Hot Pursuit 2!

- Attempt to create accident results or animations (cut-scenes) for that (Wich is critical!)
- Attempt to create "Burn/Nitro" (Ha... and Need for Speed allways needs more speed! lol)
- And other things i don't remember now, wich are critical too.
From MidnightClub:
- The graphics at all (Never saw a NFS title with such "kind" of graphics, it isn't better, just different, well, maybe better, but not even on PSONE, PC, i never saw this! C'mon, just look at those 3D guys and girls, even my young brother asked if i bought MidnightClub 2 when he saw them. And remember, EA never attempted to create any kind of guys and girls around the game when it comes to NFS).
Still not shure? Just go around, buy or rent NFS HotPursuit 2 and MidnightClub 2, and play it with this poor game, you'll see where is NFS and where is MC2, and, if you want a lesson you can rent Burnout 2 too...

This game is so awsome especially if your a car guy like me. the racing is really cool, the drags are the best. The racing is cool in all, but what i really love is tricking out the rides,i did mine like the cars in the Fast and the Furious/2 Fast 2 Furious. Although ive beaten it twice, i still play it nonstop because its so much fun. The only badthing is the online racing, everyone that i have faced has cheated in some way,either by using unlimited nos or spinning me out,plus u cant quit the race if ur losing,u can only do that in drag mode. all bad things aside this is truly a great game and i hope that a sequel is in the near future.

I wouldn't buy it, but it's definitely worth checking out.
The graphics are exceptionally well-done, the controls and game-physics are useable, but the game itself is too short. Personally, I still think that the series including Metropolis Street Racer and Project Gotham made the best product.
The nitros are once again piss-poor and unrealistic, the handling can unexpectedly surprise you from time to time with glitches, and the point-scoring method is quite.....well....retarded. Power sliding feels like you're on ice half the time (real street racing cars are usually fitted with racing slicks which wouldn't lose grip that easily), making it almost a lost art in that game, and the courses are either not challenging enough or just plain stupid.
Their version of modifying your vehicle(s) still is a shadow in comparison to the second Tokyo Extreme Racer, and I personally found the gameplay to be standard Electronic Arts stuff. It's not that GREAT, but it's not that BAD.
It's playable, that's about it.

Now tell me, what kind of dickhead would run a drag race with damn traffic!?!? when u crasH, da camera changez completely and doesn´t let you roll. Bezides of juzt lettin´ you recover, IT SHOWS ALL DA DAMN ACCIDENT!!!!c´mon, and what is worst, I´ve realized da crashes last exactly da time for lettin´ da other cars pass u. there´s also a new feature, NOS. you think its cool til you see it. It´s onli a damn time advancer, it makes everything (including da other cars) faster, DATS ALL. I´m seriously disappointed to see such a BAD game by EA Games. I hope its better next time...

I have completed N.F.S.U twice, on easy and medium. My mate say that apparently you can unlock a Vauxhall Nova? Is this true or not?. The race with 7 laps is frustrating and so is the short cut over the half pipe. If you brake just as you go over it then the nose dips but you don't lose much speed from crashing. Is there anyway of choosing betwween the two wide body kits in customise ride as i have unlocked them in two profiles. NEED FOR SPEED: UNDERGROUND RULES BY THE WAY. Is it if i do it on hard do i then unlock the nova

In my point of view this is the best game i have and will ever have. The whole point of the game is speed and they have put loads in it. When i first played this game i could not stop until i had to go to bed. First you get a really slow car and do it up to an illigal mean lean racing machine. I really like it because it has so much courses and modes. There's so much to do this game could never end.I think this is a esential game and i would give it a gold anyday. If you have this well done for getting this. If you don't have this game. Buy it for heavens sake.

need for speed underground is an awesome game. its a long awaited dream for anyone who has been waiting for a true street racing game where you can hook up a rice burner with nos and everything else. the races are fun, i agree with everyone that its bull$#< remove me > at ! how when you hit something you pretty much loose the race. and YES easy is waay hard! haha but i guess thats good, itll keep you playing longer. im on 71/111 and kinda stuck. i hate the 6-7 lap races, thier impossible. this game makes you wanto break your television at times but you feel really good when you do win after those 3 days playing one race. i do wish you could get actual parts for the engine rather then just overall upgrades.
its a really good game if you like racing and get really into it. it needs a cheat to unlock all the upgrades, thats for sure.

Need For Speed Underground is an awsome game. With cool vinyl and awsome accories. The graphics are off the scale. With more than 70 tracks and the best comstomizeable cars in the lot. From turbo to NOS there is no stoping you. Totals and crashes really cost you points. The opponts are hard core and skilled. You can get your car on magizens. so your car will be known to the world. It might be a little expenceive,it is worth the money. High speed, uncontrolable turning, and so much anger you might break the disk. So get out and shift!

Hey everyone. It is I again from KY. We this time I will give it a 8. But really I give it between 6-9. Well, I've been playing N.F.S.U. since Christmas and I'm on 103/111. I'm suprised, but I've been playing the hole game on hard.(except on the long circuit races from 4-7 laps) Those get me so mad. This is why I'm stuck on 103, the races are just getting stupider, and stupider. I tried medium and I can't beat it. Then I tried easy... I CAN'T BEAT IT! Well on races like this !! I RECOMMEND !! that you less then half of the acceleration away from what you got. It gives you better handling. You will need that because after awhile it gets harder and yourself starts thinking {}¯_I hope I don't crash. I'm almost to the finish._¯{}Then you think way to much and a cpu car comes by, and all the sudden ¡¡¡BOOOOM!!! or whatever. Then you got to restart. I bought a new X-BOX controller couple days a go because this situation happened to me and I finally threw my controller so hard I broke the controller and almost went and punch my X-box to dust. I can't quit N.F.S.U. yet because I'm almost 111.
Please don't get mad just because at me. Good luck with the cars and races.

I think this game is very cool because there is nos. Without nos this game would suck.I've already beaten the game it took me about a month or less after you have beaten it it still doesnt get boring there is anothere race after the number 111 after that one there is no more.After that race when you go to underground mode you cant go to race map or to custamyce your ride ,but you do unluck all the tracks,I beat most of the game with a Miata but near the end swith to a skyline. Well anyways the graphics are cool and the controls are okay,And does anybody know how the codes work because i tried them and they do not work.If u do know please post something in here.

Need For Speed Underground is the best game in the world. my favorite part is where you can get your favorite tuner and custimize it 2 your liking. i love how you can take a stock looking car and put body kits, neons, spoilers, hoods, roof scoops, decals, and vinals to make the car look like a real street racer or a car from the fast an the furious. in this game i liked how the compitition gets harder and even harder throughout the game unlike midnight club 1 and 2. i have a honda s2000 and this car is my favorite car on the game cauz it is full of speed without stage 3 nos , stage 3 wiaght management ,or stage 3 handeling. if you ask me this is the ablolute best game ever createdfor man kind. if i were u i would go to the store and buy this game right away.
