A step up from the original! | | Joseph from Staten Island, NY, USA says (27/Nov/2003): | EQOA: Frontiers has taken the next step in the MMORPG family for Sony Online Entertainment bu making this expansion port of the original title, Everquest Online Adventures. With an updated worded map, with coach listings for good, evil and neutral, located at www.eqoamaps.com since the Beta testing makes it easy to find where the new locations are. The new race Ogre is a nice addition as well as a new class to add into the mix: Alchemist. Other features including the Class Mastery, Faction List, and the recent addition of Tailoring a week or two prior to the release of Frontiers. And yes, the original 6 servers that we have grown and love are still available, with the opportunity to explore a new continent and a new lvl cap of 60! Now only if they can get a few new freindly people; the only complaint I have is that there are still a few rude people running around, but find the right people (or even join a good guild with plenty of active players) and you will be fine. If you are thinking of getting the original Everquest, dont bother because this Expansion port has the full version included on the DVD disc. 3 meg of memory card is required, like the original (so you can delete the old file if you still have it on the memory card to make room) and includes a free month for first timers. A $10.00 prepaid card is required to start or you can use a valid Credit Card (Sorry no debit card or checking account are accepted). Guess this would be the excitement before Final Fantasy XI (online only). Who knows, maybe this would be the battle for the MMORPG Crown! We'll just have to see.
By the way, if you have AOL, you will have a Log-in problem, so if you have another ISP, i suggest you use that instead of AOL, all because AOL had recently changed their firewall on their server programs (just a warning).
| The only game I cant live without! | | Bust from Middlebury/IN/USA says (15/Jan/2004): | Ok,the newest Frontiers addition is the best gaming time Ive spent on my Ps2.The graphics update makes it just that much better to play.I meen I haven't played any of my other 19 games since I got the original EQOA,so take my word..if you like wizards,warriors,and dragons then this is the game for you.Yes it is a time consuming game but to me your getting more then your moneys worth.You travel all around the virtual world of Norrath growing in strength and making friends along the way.to me there is only one bad thing about this game and thats trainers and KS'rs they bring the rule abiding peoples fun down but if you avoid these people sometimes Norrath is better then the real world.so if you want a break from the stress's of life try this game on for size,you will be glad you did. | eq hmmmm... i have the game not all cracked up to be | | chris from USA says (13/Jan/2004): | well i have had game for a while now i no theres good races evil races and that $#< remove me > at ! but trust me if you have no patatients do not do not play this game youll get bored easily there are lot of times youll get booted for no reason and have to log back on and somtimes whole severs fail. most boring part is if somones pissing you off you cant fight with his character or anything!there should be player vs player servers or somthing.and there are a lot of kids who cry to the gms if you train them or ks them and its gay its a game no use cryin over it. so if you really want to play this game but like i said its not all its cracked up to be

| this is a good game | | Justin from USA,Wisconsin Millwaukee says (15/Mar/2005): | If you are a person who doesnt get out much or doesent like to or just has time to kill or spare this is the game for you.I have played this game since it came out and i am a long time player it is a good investment to meet knew pepole and more.Besides the training and ksing it is a very good game you take diffrent roles in the game and jobs in groups,the game is very very addictive but you need time and patients. if u play the game and would like to contact me on the game i am in castle light wolf server my charecters are (allvatron 24shadowknight,samelen 29 necromancer,jenador 31shamman,dryerase 60bravo and furyrage 55warrior.
