FellAsleep: Bother of Snooze | | sean/sher from London, England says (30/May/2006): | A classic hack fest set in the apolyptic world gone bad. The game is peppered with foul language that often turns out hilarious at times. The gore is not much but again this game is not rated for kids below 16.
Gameplay is the same engine that produced Baldurs Gate and the simalarities are similar. The characters progress through the game collecting experience points by killing monsters for money. The skill points are very limited in terms of progression and the selection is not very interesting. After a while the skill points make sense but the progression of skill and the power they enhance don't add up to too much. Disappointing.
The game starts with 3 playabe characters. Although all 3 look very different they all play exactly the same and only have 2-3 differing skills between them. Again disappointing.
The view is birds eye and as a co-op with a buddy its interesting and works nicely.
The graphics are similar the Baldurs Gate with no noticiable difference.
The sound is decent with good effects for the carnage, the guns and the special weapons. The music is eclectic and doesn't disturb too much from the overall feel of the game.
In closing the game is a good hack and slash with a buddy. There is still alot of work to be done but its a worthy entry into the RPG genre.
A decent 6.5 out of 10.
