Shrek is spectacular! | | Mike from Mathews,VA says (28/Jul/2004): | This game is great. The shrek fan should love it. I disagree with the first poster on this review list that said this game wasnt very good. Hey it is kind of a kidde game but the graphics are great and its like your with Shrek just like in the movie. The first level is great it looks just like the movie because shreks home looks so real. The little jobs you have to do can be tough but usually are pretty fun and amusing. I love it there is many better games but this one is really great i suggest to rent it but if you are just Shrek crazy go ahead and buy it.
| Shrek Needs Improvement | | Nick Filipas from Oregon, USA says (5/Jun/2004): | I've been really bored lately, and have been waiting for those summer release games like Spider-Man 2 and Splinter Cell 2. So I wanted to give Shrek 2 a try, since it's been sitting a while and nothing much is happening with it. And I wasn't happy with the game. I mean the movie rocks ( I saw it 2 times ) and I thought the game would be like it. Well, it is sort-of but it adds so much stuff, it doesn't make sense. So first you're in the swamp with Donkey and his bride, and then there's the Gingerbread Man out of nowhere, then the Big Bad Wolf comes later and tons of other guys join you to get stuff. The characters look a little wierd, like they were stoned or something. And it's really easy to die, and the camera angles got me mad like a ogre. Plus the characters have a "Hero Time" where they have a power like lifting, throwing, huffing/puffing, and tightrope walking. The multiplayer gets screwed up sometimes, and the camera seems to follow both if one goes the other way. And Shrek 2 is easy to beat in a afternoon or a day, so I'd rent instead of buy.
