lots of fun but not enough | | Sam from New Iberia,LA, USA says (24/Oct/2004): | With all the new 21st century graphics and games its hard to find an honest to goodness game that just relies on fun. Astroboy did that very thing. It brought you back in time and made you feel excited about some of the common superpowers; flight, strength, lasers, etc. But it lacked some potential. As fun as fighting and blasting and throwing was, it made it very entertaining, but the plot and characters were just convoluted. They needed to spend more time on the characters and more effort on levels and bosses but this really was an old school game. I wouldn't really buy it considering I beat it in 2 days (I rented it). Other than that this was a very good game, nice powers, good effects, and perfect for people who just want a reason to blast stuff and bang stuff with. As far as I'm concerned Astroboy deserves a 7 out of 10 rating for classic gaming.
