Im Back For Another | | american kid from minnesota USA says (9/Jun/2005): | OK i have better ideas, you should have a fantasy mose were your either mcmahon or one of the GMs or one of your created wrestlers or one of the the wrestlers or divas and you make the decisions matches, stipulations ect and go as long as you can before you retire get fired ruin the buisness or ne other way a GM or boss loses a job. and you should have to be eric bitchoff or teddy long at least once each before you can be mcmahon or ne other character. And when you create wrestlers you should have clothes that actually look real and have more and better hair styles accsesories clothing and everything else, and you should be able to create a position for your portrait for picking and it should never blink so it always turns out quear.and it should look as good as all the other wrestlers. and you should beable to create different attires for your CAWs. and when your defending or chalenging for a title you should get the title from the ring annoucer spot and the belt should be the right belt instead of always being the WWE championship and there should be the ringannoucers time keepers and bell ringers on RAW and SMACKDONW! there and they should always be there in every game mode and you should be able to clear them out and take one of the chairs black or blue or a belt if there is one and the bell or hammer and you should be able the grab your groggy opponet by the head and hit his head on that table, and when you put a opponet through a annoucers table the peaces shouldent go through the ring barrior they should goin a different positions depending apon how your put through it, and jr and the king or cole and tazz should move out of behind the table when its heading for disater, and you should have the spanish guys behind there table on SMACKDOWN!. and you should beable to tackle your opponet through a ring barracde like what goldberg did to rosey and you should be able to fight in the crowd,DAMN, just do it. and when your a champion you should have metings with mcmahon and a challenger and he or you should be able to pick a storyline and that night it starts and if your challenging the champ should pick and you have to have all the belts in the game. and in season you should beable to walk around everywere backstage like in shut your mouth and ever wrestler on the show or at the ppv should be back there for you to talk to and when you talk to one the rest shouldent dissapear.and instead of buying your abbilites or making your muscle in CAW mode there should be a training gym in the back that you need to work out in and you should have to work up enough mucel to be good enough for the WWE before you get a meeting with McMahon and you should have a crap loud of answers to his questions and if you answer right and are strong enough and in good enough phisical shape you should have a 1-10 rating 1-3not good enough for the WWE 4-6 have to start out on heat or valasity 7-8 small uncommon matches on RAW or SMACKDOWN! 9-10 have a video thingy like what carlito and chris masters had and have a lot of big matches.and when you get better and better you should get oppertunities like a talk show like the highlite reel and the cabana and when you get good enough for a title shot you should start off with a partner for the tag titles and if you create a partner or two on CAW the all 2- how ever should have the meeting and grow strong and have a chance of sepperating from a yearly draft lottery. and thats only for CAW the WWE superstars should beable to do the same things but start out with there normal big matches. and for CAW when you get oppertunities you should have a choice to pick from a lot of different choices and at ne time you should be able to come out to the ring and challenge ne one and and if there $#< remove me > at !y like jbl theyll come out and say i dont need to waste my time with you or sure i could use easy money but if they say no you could choose to taunt them till they change there mind or leave or leave and say sorry i thought i was good enough or say your right i good for you and if your not good enough for a titleholder that you challenge and there not $#< remove me > at !y then the GM should come out and say there in a different match or they had different plans for them and put you in a different match or you could just say forget it or say if you dont get it youll quit and they dont give it to you cause you suck to much then you quit or say i was just kidding or somthin. or you could go out and quit or say your retiring and when your really good you should have a movie oppertunitie and should be able to choose to tell the fans yourself or have JR the king Micheal Cole or Tazz do it for you or just forget about it and you should get a interview on the red carpet and all that. and you be able to got out and guest commentate for ne match and you should be asked queations why your out there and stuff. I got such a great idea a few months ago you have the superstars you have the legends now you should add hall of famers (featureing HULK HOGAN) and unfogetable tallents, and for that last one im getting so sick of saying this PUT JEFF HARDY IN THE GAME.gosh freaking idiot.and after awhile you should be able to create a shirt and wristbands and towles and everything else all the superstars can make. for CAW you should be able to create a finisher kinda like in THUG 1 & 2 and same with enterance and entrance video for enterance video you should have like a bunch of things you could do like pick a wrestler for you to do a move on and you should be able to move the camera around and move the position of the characters from start to finish and you should be able to have your name come up on the screen to make the CAW complete. and season should go for like 3-5 years. and for tale of the tape for the bigger matches for that it should display your hight waight and name and for acceavments it should take what you did in season like 2005 roal rumble winner 5 time world heavy weight champion 2 time WWE champion 2 time intercontenetal champion and all that and the more it stacks up the smaller the letters are and you should put down your home town so when theres a show there should be a tribute or a apperation day or somthing also on your birthday. and john cena should have his spinner belts. im saying this so you guys dont cheap put yet again and do something dumb like taht and now for hell in the cell: when some one goes through the cage the part that broke should be hanging down for you to whip your oppents into it or trip them so there head hits the bottom bar and you should be able to through them of into the table and it should take enough time for the annoucers to see whats going on and for them to move. and for elimination chamber when ther whipped into a chamber they should actually go into it no matter if there is someone in there and you should have mangers for every single match. and in cage matchesthe door should be useable and you should be able to crawl to it and for elimination chamber when there eliminated they shouldent walk to the closest side they should go to the front door and they shouldent just dissapear the door should open and should walk up the ramp and through the curtain and you should be able to walk out before the door is closed and clim up the cage or beat up a manager or somthing. and when your talkin to someone backstage you should have a lot of different choices like check them out coplement there abilities or start a fight or knock them out with a chair when they turn away and challenge them if they accsept you both should go the GM or mcmahon if hes there and request it and it either of you were scedualded for matches that were important then it would happen. and you should ba able to go to the GM or McMahon and request something like title shots show transfers matches and lot more.and if you have a belt and want to transfer you should leave all the titles you have and have and they should have a tornament for the title/s and if someone else on the show transfer rarly they should leave titles behind for you to have turnements. im probly forgetting things but make this game better then what you ever thought you could make it spend more time on it and THQ might as well hire me to make this game better for alot more satasfaction for themselves as well as the long time fans as myself and the newer fans and everyone else.
| A Good Game That Could Of Been Better | | Matthew B. from Orangeville, Canada says (7/Nov/2004): | I had high expectations of this game for many reasons. After playing through a season of season mode, and countless matches online, as well as doing many challenges I have come to the opinion that while Smackdown vs Raw is a good game, it could have, and should have been better. First lets start with what should have been one of the bright spots of the game, Online mode. I will give THQ and company credit just for finally putting it in, but that's as far as I will extend the praise. The problem is that it has many little things that I can pick apart about the Online mode. There are only 2 match types to choose from, Single and Bra and Panties. I was hoping to have more variety with online mode. The next problem with it was that for a considerable amount of the time, the matches were very laggy and had poor frame rate, at times making play unbearable. This did not happen all of the time, but enough for me to become angry and take notice. The Online mode also has no ranking system, which while it is not a crucial part of an Online game, I still like to have one. I must say that the soundtrack to the game was just awesome, and easily beat any of the soundtracks to previous Smackdowns. CAB and CAPPV were also added for the first time since Smackdown 2 and it is a feature that I and many others really enjoy having. You do need a substantial amount of money to make a belt, but I still feel it is worth it. The storylines in season mode are very interesting so far. I have only played one complete season, but I must say that with the past two Smackdowns the season mode has greatly improved as far as the storylines are concerned. You are sure to find original stories that are not stolen from the real life WWE broadcasts, although there bound to be some real ones thrown in for fun, no harm there. I also like the improvement of the weapon damage because it is now as close to realistic as has been reached in any of the other Smackdown games. I should also mention the addition of the dirty/clean meters that will reflect how you work the match. You fill up either bar and each one gives you something special to do as a result. You can also elect to be “neutral” and work the match any way you want, you just don't get any special thing to do for it. I will now move on to my other big gripe with the game, besides online play, which was the the new “ringout meter”. The point of this meter is when you are in a Royal Rumble instead of being punched or kicked out of the ring so quickly like in previous games, this bar must be emptied before you can be knocked out. It is very simple, you engage in a grapple when the opponent is on the ring apron, and the bar starts to go down, when the bar empties you are knocked off. The problem with this is it doesn't work like it is supposed to. I have played in two royal Rumbles so far and each time I have been punched off of the ring apron when my bar is at full. This angers me because the point of this bar was to prevent these quick exits from occurring any more. I would not be angry in the previous games because this kind of thing in Royal Rumbles was common, but this “ring-out meter” was supposed to change all of that, and it failed. Oh, if I have not mentioned it earlier in this review, the graphics are the best yet in this game and really deserve praise. In conclusion, I really like this game but I feel that it could have been better than it was. Here is my scoring on this game:
Graphics: 9.5
Story (in this case season mode): 9.0
Difficulty: 9.0
Controls: 10.0
Fun Factor: 10.0
Tilt (my personal feeling): 8.5
Total: 56/60
Overall: 9.3
| One step forward / two steps back | | Britney from Glasgow, Scotland says (15/Mar/2005): | This game is a tricky one , because i'm not sure if it's better than HCTP.
Firstly the gameplay is better , wrestlers move much more realisticly than before. The addition of mini-games prior to your match starting seemed a good idea at first but after a few matches they just irritated me.
Then the matchmodes. There are all the usual match modes : TLC , Cage , Hell in a cell and the Elimination Chamber. Although some good match modes have been omitted such as a recently used Casket , Buried Alive and Barbed-Wire Steel Cage Matches. Now why the first 2 were left out is beyond me. Meanwhile Bra And Panties makes an (un)welcome return. (Does anyone actually play these matches?)
The season mode is a huge disapiontment. It's far too short , has a story that is so on the rails its not even funny. You have little or no control of your character , except whether he is a heel or a face. Several titles have been omitted from the season. The voice-overs are attrocious and worst of all the good work of HCTP edit rosters feature has been left out. Meaning you can only have one CAW in the season at a time.
Onto the CAWS themselves. They are an improvement on HCTP graphically but there is still a lot of work to be done in this department. THQ have finally done something about the music by inputing licensed music from real bands which is a welcome change from being stuck with the annoying original music.
Entrances for CAWS are good and bad at the same time. New one sinclude Hulk hogan , Steve Austin and the Ultimate Warrior (All good) but many are just oppostie entrances of WWE stars eg , heel and face alternatives. (Another wasted opportunity)
The introduction of a Create-A-PPV is a welcome addition annd can't really be faulted , although personally i would like to see more arena's available.
Create-A-Belt is a huge waste of time. Truth is most belts look ridiculous and you can't create Tag Belts to defend. however with a bit more work this area could become a huge plus.
Now the Red Herring of the game. the Online mode. Such a waste of time because you can only play a single match or a Bra And Panties match. It's almost as if no effort went in to this part of the game at all.
The challenge mode provides a welcome distraction from the monotomy of season mode giving you the chance to unlock several legends.
As for the legends it's difficult tocriticise here especially considering they finally put Bret Hart into the game but possibl future additions must include Ultimate Warrior , Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold.
The commentary is hit and miss. It's good that both JR and King (RAW) and Mickeal Cole and Tazz (SmackDown!) are in the game for their respective programs but i've always been of the mindset. If your gonna do something at least do it right. And unfortunately like so many parts of this game it misses it's chance.
If you enjoyed HCTP then you will still enjoy this but if moneys tight wait for the next one to come out.
| Its an honest attempt worhty of a good look. | | Brazzy from Kempner,Texas,USA says (21/Jul/2005): | This game isnt as bad as some say. It does hve its problems but overall its a pretty fun game. The season mode is cool the first couple of times around and the actual play mechanics are pretty easy to pick up. The graphics are solid and the wrestlers for the most part look real and well put together. The intros look perfect for most part. The character creation is very deep and will bewilder you at first. I like customizing and the create option lets you create damn near anyone you can think of from older wrestlers to a cybernetic tomato with a claw arm.I swear ive done it. There are however things that do suck. The fact that you can never obtain certain belts really frustrates. I really dont like the absence of a tag team belt and a womans belt. What about the cruiserweights...dont they get a belt? Moving on from the belt issue is the fact that no matter how many people you create you can never interact with them. This sucks big because it was kinda cool in another THQ title to create wrestlers and just have them as part of the organization to see em in action in season mode and keep track of their popularity while you use em every once in a while instead of just being stuck with one dude over and over through the season mode. The AI is pretty sorry as it ranges from drooling idiot to wrath of the GODS in difficulty. Some days youll walk all over the opponent with ease and some days youll suffer an brain hemmorrage trying to play. I got a particular gripe with the very aspect I praised a little bit ago. The creation process and body styles as well as hair,fingernails,DNA...al god. Then you get to the clothes. Nowi know I cant use profanity but where in the "blazes" are the patterns and selection for the shirts and pants. Oh great the same exact shirt three times a piece when I can pick any size and make the sleeves grow and shrink to however I want them anyway....yeah we need this right? All in all however if you pick this this title up you could be surprised at all the cool stuff in there as far as matches and options as well as some nifty unlockables that range from arenas to wrestlers and screen shots of divas. Overall its good times!
| Not Too Shabby | | Chewy from Drexel Hill, PA -USofA says (14/Dec/2005): | Smack down vs Raw has what we in the gamming industry call "re-playability". It's highly entertaining and can easily be played for hours and hours. Lets face it your room's not clean, the dog isn't fed, and neither are you, why? Because your created superstar is about to have a triple threat cage match for your chance at the heavy weight title!
The Good:
Challenge mode is pretty cool, if you choose wrestlers wisely you can cruise through these.
Create a superstar keeps getting better and better, although I wish the graphics on created superstars were as polished as they are on the other superstars.
The Bad:
The story line is stagnant. Once you complete a season the story looses it's appeal, and you're stuck playing Pay Per Views, and exhibition matches.
No tag team titles?!! Tag team matches are one of my favorite matches to wrestle both in reality and in gamming, What's the point of unlocking Hawk and Animal if you can't cream someone for the tiles? Also no Ladies title, or European title.( but who cares?)
All in All on a scale of 1 to 10 I give Smackdown vs Raw a 8.
Suggestions for improvement:
Instead of buying experiece points to improve your wrester, I suggest you be able to choose a wrester to train under each week. And if you succeed then that wrester's move set will be available for you to choose moves from. You would unlock legend wrestlers and learn moves from them as well. Imagine learning the proper way to DDT someone into a steel chair, by Bubba Ray Dudley.
Any game that has a story mode is in danger of being flat if the story isn't "expandable", for example if there are only two choices to be made in a story, and you play it to the end twice, there is no more reason to play. If you have a story mode that has a lot of twists and possibilities, unlockable suprises and suprise guest appearances, then you have an addictive game that you are not going to want to put down for days on end. (video-crack!)
| great!, but not the best wrestling game ever | | A gamer from coalville(town) leicester (city) England says (3/Sep/2005): | overall i think this game is very good. there are just some miner faults in the game. for one thing there are lots of missing titles in the game, like cruiserweight, tag team and womens. another thing the season mode is far to short. i completed the season within 2 hours of buying the game and they use the same storylines over and over and over again wich makes it boring as u always no what is going to happen, gut its alright the first time - i suppose. also the superstar voice over is rubbish, but i guess because it being the first time they used it... u no so in later titles i expect it to be better. The only other thing i can think of is the commentary. its nice to have it in the game but its is soo rubbish as well. when they talk the only talk about the supsrstars in the match and they talk once about every 5 minuites - and of course when the match starts ans ends.
But there are lots of good things about the game too. like the graphics - amazing! the entrances - cool, could use a bit of work though. i love the ability to create ppvs and title belts, the only thing wrong with that being that you have to pay for the belts and they are really expensive, but worth it. online could be a bit better and i love the gameplay.
the game misses quite a bit of superstars but the could be missing from the game because of a:they came into wwe half way through development or b: legal reasons, but the superstars u have got are very cool indeed and because of the further delevoped create a wrestler system u can create all of them, i have. as well as hulk hogan, stone cold ect. i think its muth more fun to crate them than to just have them like that.
i hope this was entertaining and will encourage u to buy smackdown vs raw. it is a very good game. even if u dont want to just rent it and try it! i no youl buy it the day you give it back. see ya
| are u guys trying anymore | | american kid from minnesota usa says (24/Jan/2005): | This is the third year i have posted reviews, and this is the worst game of the last three years. Its terable addicting, but it dosent have close to as many of the koolest matches that u should have. Baried alive match, if ur not puting that match in the game cause u dont know how u would so it well use a barial bar like the royle rumble bar. Another thing that pissed me off was in my first match i played, Undertaker vs. Booker T in a hardcore match in the back area. The wepons disapered and u couldent transfer to other areas and theres not enogh back stage areas. Ever wrestler should be able to take a ladder from under the ring. If u set a wresler on the announcers table and go on the ring post u should attomatticlay jump far enogh to make the opponet on the table.and u should be able to do finisher of the hell in a cell. and if u do a attack move from high distance u should not be able to pin the opponetand if u do a pin move and press square and u wont pin and he will stay down. Why the hell did u have lita when she asent active last year but not this year. I have said this so damn much PUT JEFF HARDY IN THE GAME!! Hes been in the busness for over 10 years put him in as a legend. People all over the world want jeff in this game. put him in. And the hulkster put him in god dammit. In seson u should be able tobecome a grand slame champion (wwe smackdown shut your mouth)be a women, become a legend and become gm and buy the buisnees when mcmahon sells it.You should be able to pick were ur from ur waight so lillian garcia and anoying smackdown guy can say all that. You should be able to creat entraces taunts and finishers. and you should have a $#< remove me > at ! load off call names. for exaple my wrestlers name iss money, u should have a s and money to choose. Thank you and i will still send in more reviews.
| Slightly off-target | | Alexander Sirahplax from Toledo, Ohio, United States says (8/May/2005): | I think that the season mode is tremendous, even with the lack of championships. While the game may have left out several wrestlers, it is possible to create every single one of them through the Create-a-Wrestler option. I'm sure certain missing wrestlers were the result of legal matters, rather than oversights or omissions. I'm sure that creating Hulk Hogan would be more entertaining than having him pre-programmed into the game.
I only have a few small problems with the game itself, mostly in the interactive gameplay. The title-creator is a lot better than the last attempt made, in Wrestlemania 2000. It's not the appearances of the titles that disturb me, it's the complete useless nature of the created titles. You can't defend them in your created pay-per-views, you can't defend them in exhibition matches, and you can't even make an entrance with them. The only appearance said titles make is when you are playing a second player with a seperate memory card and game file. I bought the game to entertain myself, not for bonding moments with friends.
I excuse the voice-over feature because this is the first attempt to make an interactive character voice feature. It's surely not going to be perfect the first time, though I would think that the game developers would take the time to test it before releasing the game. Deadlines and pushy distributers can take the blame for that screw-up. I imagine the next game in the series will have improved dramatically over the current release.
Overall, I find the game very entertaining and the best that I have played from the WWE. I think the people who think negatively about this game should be grateful that we're not stuck with the first RAW release on the Nintendo 64.
| Very bad season mode, bad matches and crap wepons | | philip from LLangefni Wles says (13/Mar/2005): | Why the hell u havn't put a buried alive match, strecher,in it why not put hulk hogen, eugene, gene snitky, brocklesnar ,goldberg, stone cold, jeff, bashems, carlito, luther reinze and other great superstars.Plis in season let us be vince or 1 of da gm,this years season realy sucked let it last longer,i've done it about 7 times and most are da same make lots of different story modes do u guys agree? me and my friend have been thinking of ways 2 make it better if ssomeone like taker and kane have a ladder match u cant make a chokeslam off if it hit the ring had enough it should break through da ring in cage matches u should be able to fight on da top and while climing to bash there faces on da cage and definatly be able to through ur oponent on da cage it should be hadder to hurt ur opponents in the elimanation chamber u should be able to spear ur opponents through the glass and other moves and be able to have more than 6 in the ring at once make alot more backstage rooms like fight in a womans locker room while they're changing in parking lot, outside arena shopzone in the crowds in the gm locker and cool places u can think of.be able to go to the ring when u want if ur the taker in season u should be able to make it dark and be in da ring and don't make taker sit up everytime only after having a finisher or a powerful hit.befor going to ur match in season there's things u can buy insed of buying your thing to make your strengh and stuff go up u could have a gym.Plis send your thoughts on my review!
| Great game | | Voidless Void from Your local cemetery says (28/Nov/2004): | I had always asked myself what could possibly make the Smackdown series even better than it was with HCP? The only thing I could think of was On-line play. Wouldn't you know it, THQ read my mind. There is now On-line play in Smackdown! Of course, there is room for improvement. I'd love to play tag team on-line, or maybe even a royal rumble.
The customization feature, the feature I love the most, is that much better. Plus you can use songs from Powerman5000 and Zebrahead for your dude's theme song!
There were a couple things I had a gripe with. For instance, you still can't use custom divas to fight in a bra and panties match, you can only hold on to a weapon for about four hits before losing it (though it causes a lot more damage now), and though the ring out meter in the royal rumble is a blessing, it's also frustrating! A blessing, because I don't get eliminated as quickly, and frustrating because neither do the opponents.
It's a good game that leaves plenty of room for improvements in the future. I give it a 9 out of 10.
| COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | Cody from New York USA says (20/Jan/2005): | I think that this game could be better by adding people like Eugene and Gene Snicky. I miss the tag crusier weight and woman championship. I like the story mode and the voice overs and the all new challenge mode. The online mode is ok but I wish you could play a ROYAL RUMBLE though. The graphics are very good, and I love the commentary. The game play is very exciting. The season is short but the challenge mode is long. The most fun I had was playing a slober knocker. I hope that next time they add a/casket match, a burried alive match, and the laungarie pillow fight. I like the create a championship and create a pay per view. The new parking lot brawel is fun. I like how you choose to fight clean or fight dirty. I think they should make it so you can pick divas in your season. Then the only matches you are in,are diva matches. This game diserves a 9 out of 10 so no matter what you have heard I sugest that you buy this game. Even if you dont keep it at least try it. You have my word on it. THANK YOU!!!!
| the rossa review | | rossa from sydney, australia says (10/Dec/2004): | it rossa here from australia were the game has just come out, and if you are thinking about buying the game smackdown vs raw do so if you are a hard core fan of the series smackdown 1 to 5. it is the best game i have played in along time, but the are alot of bad things about the game. like the story line doing the same thing over and over and over each time you play. there is only one thing good about the story line and that is that there are 2, one for smacdown and one for raw. another thing is that they are missing alot of the big superstars like steve austin, rikishi and more. the thing i like most about wwe smackdown vs raw is that you can create your own belt and name it same with a pay per veiw, wich i think are the best features in the game in my opinion. in a game i look for the graphics, sound, gameplay and the story line so in all but for the story line i give a 10/10, but for the story line i give a 7/10. so enjoy your playing every one and enjoy the game.
| I was very dissapointed | | Paul from bulgaria says (15/Dec/2005): | it was very average! i was badly dissapointed and to be honest im even quite dissapointed in smackdwon vs raw 2006 lol. but its better than this one. this game had hardly anything only 4 titles no tag team titles perfect season, hardly any people acutally on the game i mean c'mon wat is goin on!! they seriously need to get there heads together and start improving these games cus it is just not working!! but as i said i am very dissapointed i belive they should make batista and triple h much better! and y would u even think of puttin john cena on the game he is such a twat and i h8 and the only reason the fans like him is because he is a complete suck up to the amercian fans, still at least he is extra person to beat up!!
still the new samckdown games need to be better!
Britain rules america sucks!
| The PS2 WWE titles stay the same | | A gamer says (31/Mar/2005): | This game is basically the same as the last two titles. The graphics are cleaned up but its missing some key elemants to make it a flawless title. The gameplay is very good once again but the create feature stands out as the best. Their is room for improvemant when it comes to the create a wrestler feature. If you are an average wrestling fan you will feel like me which is so-so...but if your a wrestling fanatic than you might like this title better..The character models are better than last year but they really need to do a bit more detail for the create a wrestler mode. The one thing that I really did enjoy was the online feature. You can put your created wrestler up against some other guys created person. This is a very outstanding change from past games. I enjoyed very much seei
| Game the best in the Smackdown Series | | jimcguitar from Ocala Florida says (9/Jul/2005): | This game has all the makings of the best Smackdown series to date. The Legends are some of my favorite wrestlers to date. The game has really improved on its collision detection and grappling gameplay. The match types are right on and the graphics absolutely shine on the PS2. Create a wrestler is top notch with thousands of options. If you don't see a current superstar here than you can easily create them on your own and give them the real wrestlers movesets. The ability to play clean or dirty impacts how the fans respond to your grapplers and if the are liked or hated. I am basically judging this game and comparing to wrestling games. While I enjoy other forms of gameplay involving grappling and fighting. This is the best game in this genre and generation....

| | A gamer from sdyney, australia says (26/Nov/2004): | most people have stated that the game needs some improvments, but you shouldn't just focus on the bad things on the game. some of the good things are that the season mode is improved and more exciting, the graphics have been redesign and looks awsoume, the undertaker's enterance in the the game it looks so real just like when he walked out to the ring in wresltemania 20, the create a belt/ppv, the challenge mode which keeps you entertain for hours and the most improved part of the game is the legends. and don't worry there not people you have never heard of they are true legends such as: bret heart, andre the giant, the rock, mankind just to name a few. so smackdown vs raw does need some improvements but overall it has advanced the way we look at wwe games.

| This game rules but..... | | kota from san gabriel, california, usa says (6/Nov/2004): | Well as you all know wwe smackdown vs raw is the hottest game right now. I have the game and it is really cool. The only things that were not cool is that the tag- titles and the cruiserwieght titles are not there and that the stroy lines are two short there so short that i finished the season in one day and smackdown hcp was longer. But besides that the games graphics are really good and the superstars voices are in the storylines. Also the royal rumble isn't easy anymore. Now its a little bit more challenging to eliminate superstars. And to conclude this summary the wwe smackdown vs raw game is great and you should get this game!!!!
| Good, but not yet all there | | The Hitman from Smackdown City, Painsylvaina says (28/Jan/2005): | Yes, Smackdown VS. Raw is the most graphically enhanced of the series but its other features don't hold par with previous Smackdowns. For one the season mode is so short my created character only reached sixty-some and he was the champ.
The cutscenes in season are pretty good, but the storyline could be improved. This game also needs to include a tag title, and womens title, divas cannot be the main character in story mode either. The game could overall have more to it, personally even though earlier games like Shut your mouth are not as good graphically, I had more fun with Shut your mouth than VS. Raw.
| good | | John_0_ from Australia says (20/May/2005): | i reckon they should allow u to create the wwe championship to how u wont it and same wid the other titles instead of them being plain and boring. i personally reckon it make da game much more fun because at least u could look forward to creating da titles to how u wont and not how they are cause ( no offence but they are a bit boring) anyway i figured out a way 2 create goldberg, sting , nash, stone cold and other superstars laterz. not only that but the season mode is a bit boring conisedering ive finished the game at least 50 times. they should make it a bit more fun like smackdown here comes the pain
