best car game i ever played (NOT PLAYED GRAN T 4 YET) | | dan from preston,lancashire,united kingdom says (13/Mar/2005): | i thought it was great when it came out (need for speed 2)
but what i mainly dislike about the game is that it keeps going on and on about secret events and it does'nt tell you where they are what i do like about the game is all the extras like scissor,suicide doors,spilt hoods coloured head lights they are really groovy and the hydrualics is a good idea aswell but it gives you the option to change guages and install engine and trunk neons and change the layout of the trunk but if you use your head you can make a real head turner of car but with 4x4s well that is (OUTRAGEUS) for a mark out of 10 i would give (9/10) but i wonder is there going to be a need for speed underground (3)???????? and lets hope it gives bonnet l.e.ds thanks for reading this dan.

| | tehownt from ot,on.ca says (11/Nov/2004): | Great graphics, good gameplay, easy for beginners to control, two highly negative aspects though, you are forced to follow the storyline, no liberty at all (makes the cash totally useless because even if you have some you need to unlock stuff so its pointless having some) and secondly, I've never seen a game with so much advertisement in it, its just plain crazy, prepare yourself to be brainwashed big time.

This sequel to Need for Speed Underground seems to out-better it. If you like to customize cars and "go fast like a damn pimp", then, I am sure you will want to get this game. Some new features of this game is the new cars they have and some customization items. They have SUV's in this game. So, I am sure, you want this even more. I have heard rumors that this game will feature spinner rims! Great for the SUV's. The customization process of the cars are going to be more cool than the previous game. They will have more colors, scissor doors, more vinyls, over 30 new cars, custom stereo system. For those pimp dudes out there, I think this game has the Hummer H2, it would look so cool with spinners. Enough with the pimp stuff, now to soundtrack. They got some of the latest songs. They don't have any music of the previous Underground. With Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition coming out soon, Undergorund will have some competition. In MC3, they will have at leat 50 different cars, including the customization. You can put candy paint on the cars in MC3. Back on topic, NFSU2 is going to be a big success. Rockstar games has no chance against EA Games. EA is the most successful game company, especially with their Sims series. Some of the new cars in the game will include the 2005 Ford Mustang, 2004 Audi A3 & TT, 2004 Cadillac Escalade, 2004 Hummer H2, 2004 Infinit G35, 2002 Lexus iS300, 2004 Lincoln Navigator, 2004 Pontiac GT-O, Toyota Corolla GTS (AE86). I have heard some specific countries will get extra, specific cars also. The North American version will have two different Hondas, probably the NSX and S2000. Other versions will have the Opel Corsa and the Peugot 106. Anyway, we don't need too many cars. This game will feature a new mode where you can drive around the whole city like in MC2. I heard it wil have 2000 kilometers of road. Don't miss this game. I am sure you will have hours of fun. Like every other game, this game will run you $50.00.
| I can't wait for it to appear in the shops | | Ben Price from Newcastle, England says (21/Oct/2004): | Right so your probably wondering how i can possibly write a review on a game that isn't out yet, so i will tell you.
Although i have yet to play this game, the screenshots and movies that have been posted on there site and on their affiliates sites, have been amazing. The graphics are even better than the last (what's this guy on many game companies do that, well I'll tell you.) Everyone who ever played need for speed underground said wow the graphics and effects are so cool, maybe evn the best we've seen, well need for speed underground 2 just got better than the best ever.
THE CARS
There will be well over 30 cars, heres the best bit some are rumoured to be muscle cars, I know one is for sure (it is some form of mustang, old or new it was hard to tell with such a beautiful bodykit attached) Most of the old cars are there evo's scooby's MX5's (miata's for you americans out there) some of the new cars are lexus LS200 (Toyota Altezza) Mazda RX8, there are also SUV's Cadilac and some others (not my speciality)
THE LOCATION
The city map looks quite intricate (what ever that means i just like the word)
THE GAMEPLAY
There are now even more new modes of play what they are im not quite sure but there is team drifting and some sort of car show where you use the mods such as scissor doors, engine neon, speaker system, they all earn you points.
