Killzone is a FPS for PS2 ONLY! Although it is a good game, i was let down a little bit. I will start with the negatives, then i will go to the positives. The biggest problem i had was the constant yelling or Helghast{enemy} soldiers. They all had the same voices, they were annoying, and they always yelled what they were doing. For example:"Give Me covering fire! I'm moving up" They always told me their strategy, and although it helped, it made the game less realistic, and i kinda like guessing what the enmey is going to do. Also, the fact that my guy always chambered a round every time he took a gun out pissed me off. It didn't make like the game more. In fact, it made me hate it more since the idiot wasted 2 seconds that could be used for firing $#< remove me > at !ing his gun instead. The ability to actually control my squadmates would have been nice, too. Also, the enemies are mutated from the gases of their home planet. They can take more hits than normal people. But really, a half a clip from a carbine to kill one guy is just dumb. The levels were way too linear. Also, sometimes their are sudden artillery strikes that kill me. I know, its realistic, but my guys could have at least yelled "incoming!" or something. There could have been more enemy variety,too. And, although i use the enemies weapons alot, when they use them, they hit me every time, and when i use them, half the rounds miss. And it is definetly not me, cuz' i am a very good shot. Plus, the sniper rifle scope had something very wrong with it. It is one of those scopes that when you let go of the analog stick, the crosshair snaps back to wherever it was when you first turned on the scope. It is hard to explain. I had a problem with the graphics, too. A lot of the time when the enemy was firing, there were no muzzle flashes, so i could not find them. Now for the positves{this won't take long}. Your guy puts his gun down by his side while sprinting, which was pretty cool. Also, there was a kind of tan haze floating in the air that you would expect in a war zone. The sound was ok, but the weapon sounds were the best. Thats about it for positives. Wait, few more negatives. The characters in this game can't, reapeat, CAN NOT JUMP!!!!! WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT? And, the lack of the ability to change squad members in combat was stupid. The story was unoriginal and weak. It was your typical FUTURISTIC SCI FI SHOOTER. HMMMMMMMMMMM...... Now where have i seen that before? Anyway, this game should have been called Cursezone, cuz' your gonna curse more than kill. If you play this game, it better just be to make fun of it, cuz' this game really is crappy. Trust me, you'll hate it. If you don't then thats your opinion. But listen to me, unless you have a passion for crappy games, go for Halo, Halo 2, or maybe Project Snowblind.
