It Could Have Been Better! |

I think this game(Dragon BallZ Budokai: 2) could have been a bit better than it really was. First off, if you play as Cell, when you transform into Perfect Form and do the Kamehameha Wave, the voice of Cell sounds the same as when he's in 1st and 2nd form. Another point is the fusion Kabitoshin. I mean all it is is Supreme Kai's techniques in a different body. I don't believe i wasted my time getting the dragonballs 4 that. Lastly, they could have(or at least i think) put a little more time into the fusion and potara techniques. 4 example, as hercule, when u use the potara, he hits his opponent with as much force as supreme kai to knock him down. We ALL know Hercule is not as strong, nor even close to the power level of the supreme kai. Otherwise th game was REALLY good(or at least in my opinion.)

This is one of the coolest games I have played in a while, but it needs more to it. The music is what made its score down on my part. Adding orriginal Dragonball Z music from the actual series would be one of the best ideas you could use. Some of the graphics could be a little better, but they are very good. The thing I am just most concerned about it the music. What they say before and after fights could change as well. "I've finally beaten Kakorat!!" Is just a weird thing for Vegeta to say. What is the point of him saying that? I think Budakai 3 will be much better, but if it is not, they should quit making the games. I rate this game as a 9, and it could go no higher. If the Funimation created this game, shame on them, because they can do better than that. My diagnosus: Get rid of the stupid sayings they say before and after duels, and bring music from the real show instead of dumb Jazz music playing in the backround. All that want to know who I am, I am Ty. I hope you guys do take a little time to read this. It is very important to me, for I am a hardcore dragonball Z fan, and don't want to see it go down into the dust like that -=snaps fingers=- I want to see the series rize so high that it can rise no more.

the game starts out like a board game i was confused at first but then i started to like it i think it is cool because you get to get dragonballs easyer then the first one dragonball game and also cell and frieza come back and under contral by babaty i dont know were that came from but it was tight to see that M sign on there heads and you need to go back to get more characters in the game witch was alright with me because i like the game but you should rent it first because some people hate the game like my brother because he,s an xbox fan and its so cool because when you are practicing picalo talks to you and tells you alot about blocking and when you go to cpm vrs plyr1 if your goku and turn into ss3 when your power is down all you need to do is press select that is so coool.

I can not wait untill DbZB3 comes out. It was the best graphics of all the Budokai's. I went on a special site to find the best previews for Budokai3. Trust me you would like the previews that you can find.The best thing i like about number three is that you can play as Bardock. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now they made it so you can unlock characters like Broly and Cooler. The previews I saw for Bardock are off the chain. They put him in the burst mode against Frieza and he looked cool. The next preview I liked is that you can play as Frieza in his second or third form. Now isn't that cool?! The thing I hate about the Dragon World on Budokai 2 is it is like a board game and it gets boring not showing details. Now on Budokai3 they have this story called Dragon Road. You get to play as the person you are sent at to battle with. Like take Vegeta for an example on Planet Namek when Vegeta Flies to the space pods were the Ginyu Force came you get to be him and fly him over there. I would like Atari to make a Budokai with so good graphics that when you do the continues Kamehameha it would look like what vegeta did to Frieza on Planet Namek. Another last cool thing about number three is that you could fly in the air at any time of the battle.

man u should buy this cool game this one is even better then the last budokai game but the third dragon ball z game is probly gonna be even better then them all.It only took me four hours i still play it hours and hours i got every single thing on that game.I never had so much fun since i first got vice city and nba street 2. But i know for sure i'm going to get dragon ball z budokai 3 and i'm going try or not try i'm GOING to bet the game and get evry single thing on that dragon ball z budakai 3 just like i did on the dbz budokai 2 so i recomend u to get all the dragon ball z budokai games all of them r really really fun u'll probly have hours of fun just like i did so good bye ya'll

I'm sick of all you haters running your mouth about dragonball z boudakai 1. I agree compared to DBZ Boudakai 2 its a piece of crap. But come on. It was bestselling game of the year 2003. Dragonball Z Boudakai isn't too bad. Dragonball Z 2 is horribley addictive with loads of unlockables. If you want to know some fusions listen up. Get breakthrough for Tien or Yamcha and then next time wish for there fusions tiencha. Get Hercules breakthrough then wish for fusion Gokule. New characters on DBZ Boudakai 3. Brolly (Dark Super Saiyan) Cooler Frieza's brother. Then Goku's second brother whom I can't remeber the name of. This is all true. Did you know that the Dragonball Z on british t.v isn't actually the original. The same characters yeah but different storylines with watered violence. Brolly isn't evil. Just hellbent on proving he's the best in the universe. But I guess hardcore fans know this. All the fusions are for Dragon Ball Z Boudakai 2. For Kibitokai/Kibitoshin. Wish for Supreme Kai's Breakthrough and then wish for Fusion. Its all good. Screenshots for Boudakai 3 look good and I am stoked. I love Dragon Ball Z and loads of DVD'S I just wish I knew where to get the comics. If so please tell me. Rumours are a live Dragonball Z movie is on the cards with Jet Li as Goku. Dodgey eh? My favourite Dragonall Z character has to be Brolly. He is crazy and cool. I like him because my name is Brolly. Where I come from in Malaysia Brolly is a common name in my village. My last name is Tsuroki and my email is just a random name.

When I first heard of this game being in developement I was finishing the first Budokai. I thought the first one was awesome and that cell-shading would look horrible on the second one that was coming out. When I played Budokai2 I found out that cell-shading makes it look a lot more like the show than the first Budokai (Unless you have the gamecube edition of the 1st Budokai). By far the gameplay is almost identical to the 1st but is a little more advanced in the fact that you get to power up death moves. I was happy that in this version of Budokai you actually get all their super saijin forms and if you're someone like cell and freeza you start off in your final forms. I was also happy that got rid of the annoying way of finding dragonballs where you would waste hours of time in popo's shop trying to find them. In this game you can get 25 characters, which I was kindof dissapointed in. I wanted to be able to play jeice and the other ginyu force members that you couldn't play in Budokai1. I mainly bought this game for the dueling for when I get together with my friends and vs. against them. This game also has some downfalls. Like stated in other reviews on this site, its kind of corny when babidi summons cell and freeza to fight you in the buu saga. The dragonworld is kindof lame because you travel on a map to get to your enemies and it makes corny sounds when you're moving around. It would also be better if it had the storymode like in the first game. In-game music is a little bit better but the menu music is still corny like in the first Budokai. Overall, this game is pretty cool if you're buying it for dueling and for the new features like transformations, fusions, levels, and characters. Honestly, I suggest playing the first Budokai before buying this game because the first one has the storymode and if you have beaten the first Budokai then you can transfer some stuff into Budokai2. Also if you are going to buy the 1st Budokai, check out the gamecube edition because it's like the one on ps2 except it has cell-shading graphics.

I loved this game it was sooooo cool. It had great graphics and easier ways to do strong attacks. The first DBZ Budikai was great when it came out first, but this one beat it out by a mile. Now you get to fuse characters that you never had in the first Budikai. You even get to play as each form of Majin buu. Even KID BUU!!!!!! Its also almost the same as the episodes so its a DBZ movie in itself that you get to play and control what happens. Except for what the enemies do. You get training mode to learn how to fuse and learn easier ways to do strong moves such as Kamehameha. If you want the best cheats if you cant get the game done by yourself go to Supercheats or cheatingdome. If I could have given this game a higher score it would have been 35. Another thing is you have a way easier way to get dragonballs. You go to story mode and its like a game board thats my favorite part. You can also enter babadis spaceship, plus thats the only way to get the buus and deborah. Thats my review hope you like it and you should buy this game whenever given the opportunity. this game has graphics that looks like playstation 1 graphics and you can't fuse in story mode i think this game was overrated by you people it's not as great as you say.i hated this game budokai 1 was sooooo much better this game should've never been made. even though a lot of people say they like it i have the guts to tell the truth. there is one cool thing about this game. no wait nevermind there isn't. don't waste 50 dollers on this game it's not worth it. oh yeah and if you guys like it then here a cheat if you press xxxx oo xx you will get every move for every person. no nevermind i just typed it to get over 150 words. and it did not work so i'll just write this. i hated that game i hated that game i hated that game i really did.

I really enjoyed this game, the graphics, the fights, almost everything.I would say it's 10 times better than the first one. My only problem is that Dragon World is kind of borring cause you have to face cell and frieza so many times.Instead of having to fight the same guys all over we should have been able to fight all the mean guys like in the original series. This would have made a lot better.Also where are all the dragon balls? Are they hidden somewhere? I still have trouble unlocking all the characters. I finished the story mode so many times but I can't get them. I'm getting a little bit tired of trying it all the time.who should be used to unlock Videl and Super Buu? I'm really have hard time with these two characters. I hope somebody will give me a hand.Holla at me at oaj08< remove me > at yahoo.fr

I love this game it has great characters my favorite is Vegito. And I love the babadi spaceship mode I gave this game a 10 because in DBZ boudakai 1 they pick who to fight and who to fight with.This game is more realistic than DBZ boudakai 1 and boudakai 2 has new characters.Oh and Vegito has a cool attack it's called spirit sword it goes in the body of the enemy if your not on full power Vegito just pushes his hand front and pushes you if you are on full power Vegito puts it in the enemy and pulls it out and slashs the enemy.And big Trunks has a attack called burning slash he uses a burning attack then the enmy pushes it back then Trunks gets his sword and hits like a baseball and damages the enemy bad.Ok let's talk about Videl one of her attacks are Videl close call the enemy hits you to the floor but just before she lands Gohan savves her and punches and kicks the enemy then pushes him/her to videl and she kick the enemy.

i like all of the fun fighting stuff, but it is wayyyy to unrealistic. i mean cum on, bobudi summoning frieza and cell to fight geez! then majin buu absorbing them that is really stupid and the saibamen are in every level sheeesh have the makers ever watched the show ever. but the fighting part is really awesome (but they should have a way to fly instead of being knocked into the air... once again unrealistic) i hope they make more improvements in the next dragonball Z game. anyone who watches the show could make it more realistic than this. i believe that it would be worth it if it were more realistic. i could create a more realistic game then this (the graphics could be a little more better. overall fighting : 9/10 overall graphics : 7/10 cost : 3/10 reality : 0/10 u shouldnt buy this game unless u get it for a god bargain

This game blew me away the first time i played it. Sence i love transforming, the ssj3 was so awesome. The fusion was amazing But I dont like the dragon world mode though. That's the reason i gave it a 9. But it doesnt really bother me though. Well back to the game. The graphics are superb, and the cell shaded it awesome as well. I love the new way they do the beam attacks. Instead of a big ball coming at you, you have a stream of energy bursting at you. And you can also dodge it, But i'm having some difficulty finding the ssj3 for goku. i cant find it. If someone can give me some tips i would uppriciate it. My favorite character is goku of course, Because he can go kaokien x20,super sayian,super sayian 2 and super sayian 3. I love when you go super sayian 2, you can see streaks of energy. This game wasn't the greatest but it was pretty cool.It's very out of tune though. I mean how are they gonna allow u to go Super SAiyan 3 in the first board if u have the skill.And how do Frieza and cell keep coming back to life.THe grphics are cool though and its still better than the first one.the thing i like the most is the fusions especially Veggito.I dont like the fact u have to get the dragon balls in dragonworld though Iliked it how u could by the dragonballs on the first one.the thing is I really want to view all the capsules i can get in Dragon mode and how to get them.And i already know about the cheat u can do in the shop so dont give me that.Please help me my Email address is KAN1242< remove me > at aol.com

that could be found in the game.all you have to do.is open
up the strategy screen.ive seen combos up to 10 movements.the book didnt show.the thing i liked about it was the dvd.did you know the point of a strategy guide. is to find combos and how to brake from some moves.i dont want a knock off.of something found in the game. the dbz strategy guide.shows turtles in a realy tiny section.it shows a histery of the games.then it shows all the supermoves you could do.by opening the move list.and a list of capsulse.where are the combos.how you brake from a throw.how to stand up qickly.befor you land after a serious combo.and the ki they need to get to the next level.

Well yah the title/summery or whatever describes how i feel, The graphics are good but not as good as the first one (When i use final flash with vegita in his uniform the yellow straps, errr..whatever are cut off with the chest plates..)Anyways Budokai 1's graphics are much better...
Now the dragon world, its okay could have waited to make it like now so they would start off in the actual gt...When i play it all i find is one dragon ball...Then they are like hidden and you can never get them. That is a bunch of Shiot right there..Chasing cell? Pffft, thats gay why cant you add the cell games and things like that...
They need Way more moves for the charectors eatch, I gotta wait for ever to get one move for them (One time i beat dragon world = 1 good move), also they should start it off in dragon ball series then make it harder and longer to beat eatch level (Example: Once your about to go and fight frieza, zarbon comes in and frieza moves and you gotta do it again...) In namek you should find all the dragon balls too then you fight frieza for it, you lose you have to recollect them and frieza will be harder, you win you get to go home No more frieza like in Budokai 2...
Well this is all i can say its a good game but with minor details that need to be fixed..

The first thing I noticed about the game was the really boring dragon world mode, but weighed against the fantastic cell-shaded graphics, cool music and best of all the voice acting, this game rocks! But things are out of proportion though, like when I defeated Frieza with Goten.
One of the worst things about the game though is that, even though it is'nt really significant, they did miss out the Garlic saga. They also have less than half of the Ginyu force and don't have Babidi as a playable character. The thing that disgraces the game above all though is that all the special moves that the characters have are wonderful, about a quarter of them don't have one! Especially Android#17 and Android#18 who are really important in the story.
Apart from those things, the game is great! It's graphics highly resemble the cartoon without looking 2D and the voices are from the game. My favourite character is Vegita, but I don't like him when he is Vegito. This game will probably last you for 2 months unless you are a serious gamer like me, then it will take you around 3 weeks.
Now at about £35.00 it is worth your money if you've watched the cartoon, but give it a second thought if you hate japanese animation. It is extremely fun, but has a lot of flaws if you watched it on T.V and know the story.

Hell good graphics probably the best game I got besides Vice City but anyway I've finished the game a hundred percent and it was fun now i play it for fun like using all these really cool attacks and hercules pretty funny. Anyway it's a good game with out a doubt so i highly reccomend u to buy it. So go now and by it. Only 89.95. It's the sickest game i've played so far and I wander how budakai 3 is gonna be cause budakai to is definately outstanding. It's probably better in my oppinion then any game u got. It's got virtually every Character except Jase, Guldo and Burter which is pretty bad but even without em doesn't make much of a difference.The voices sound like the actuall episodes and so r the graphics they r just like the episodes as well.

I think budikai2 is cool. I agree that Cell and freiza keep coming back alive is anoying man.they should still stick to the show like babbidi didnt brieng them back to life he doesnt even no the guys.
