Other thing that was incredible in this game were the bikes, mainly PCG, i love to take a ride at the miami beach running over some people at the sand, or to disguise myself and enter the VCPD and start shooting everyone.
I thing there are few mini games but in general its fine.
The worse thing in this game is that if someone shoots you, the police officer (very smart) will run after you and not after who shooted the gun.
What i would realy like is if we could do anithing else with the beaches, cause we can only ride with them in your car and you have to pay 1 dollar per minute to them.
What i liked is the cab system, cause if you die during one mission you can restart quickly.

| Best game ever made in gaming history! | | Daniel from Harlingen,Texas, USA says (6/Dec/2004): | i heard how good this game was from friends then i finally dicided to get it myself and WOW was this a great buy or what?!?! the graphics are great, the cheats are awsome, and i just love the whole thing. one thing i do hate is the unremovable cheats....ppl, wut ever u do dont put this cheat in: R2,R1,X,triangle,X,triangle,up,down,o,L1,down,L2,left,X,R1,L1, right,X....it cannot be removed!!! one of my friends gave it to me as a joke. this cheat makes random ppl on the street attack u...not very fun, i cant even stand still anymore. i love the cars the handling tales a little to get used to but once u do u could be amazed with what u can do in them. i havent gotten to play san andreas yet but ive heard good things bout that too...better graphcis, huge playing area, ect. my fav gun in vice city has to be the pistol u get in the 2nd and 3rd weapons cheats, closely followed by the automatic shotgun. the only thing i havent figured out is how to get the helicoptor with the guns and rockets.i cant think of the name of it but i will right after i close this thing up. ok i just wanted to give everyone this little bit of insight...so see ya!

| Steal, kill old people and do drugs what more do you want!!! | | ROSKY FUTURE FRANTIC from England says (5/Aug/2004): | A lot i hear you say but never fear coz this game delivers the goods and in some style. Firstly the graphics. XBOX has the best graphics around but you would not think it after playing this game. Stunning is an understatement. Evrything is realistic to a point but there are things like blowing people heads off and they still be able to walk for a few seconds and stuff like this that keep the game fun. The gameplay is easy to get into and it want be long before you are killing masses of people ( mission 3 to accurate!!!! ). Best features of this game are the ability to fly helicopters ( even ones with rockets and machine guns ), You can drive super fast bikes and even tanks. I found however that the hidden packages idea a bit of a chore ( for those who dont know what this is hidden packages are little icons that when you get every 10 you get a prize like a new gun or in somecases a means of transport ) It took me a good 5 hours to find them all ( this is without a guide ). THe missions are constructed very well and the idea of buying plases in the town like the clubs, strip clubs, mansions, houses, cab firm, printing works, studio, condos and car showrooms etc is amazing because you can earn money through these businesses. The prblem i found with this games is that if you are good at it you can complete the story based missions in about 4 hours. however there are the odd mission for the businesses you buy but i have completed every mssion in under 7 hours. this by the way only gets you 50 percent of the game. you have to do things like rampages ( killing spree ), all the jumps, collect hidden packages, colect cars for the cab firms, rc racers, street racers etc. This game is damn neer impossible to get 100% even with a guide book.
Closing coments. Those looking a for a lasting game need to own this, tose looking a fun game need to own this and those who like to kill everything and everyone ( in the gaming world mind ) need to own this. is a must own for evey one.

The story, the titles, they all bind together and is not just a twisted game like True Crimes:Streets of LA. They say you have to complete all missions for the best ending. I want the ending to be as intended to. I also like how the cops do their job. When they see you do something that are against the law, you either get busted or they will call the SWAT, helicopter, and any backup civils, then you get either wasted or busted. They make it almost like reality. The SWAT and the helicopter, I get the shivers. But let me tell you what's funny. A hooker go and do her thing with Tommy. After they finish, I'm going to either pull out my brass knukles, or my rifle and kill her. But I give this a nine-star because when they are in the car(Tommy and hooker), you don't see them do nothing in the car. All you see is the car shaking and them sitting. Boring. But, the rest of the game was of the chain.

| vice city is kool (: | | A gamer from australia, qld says (1/Apr/2004): | vice cits is litterally the best game to hit the shelfs in 2003-2004, vice city is a must have for all game buyers/collectors you have got 2 admit it its AWESOME. the thing i like best in the game is that its like another world and u can do practically anything u want, from robbing to taxi driving, i think that the best vechale in tha game has got be the hunter (army chopper) although it may hav its disadvantages like the weakness it also has major advantages like missiles and m60 powered machine guns and also the easiest vigialty missions (brown thunder) also there is a lot of senery like the light house on ocean beach, airport, ocean, babes (even no their cartoon anime characters, but their still hot) or you can just chill at the malibu club or get a lap dance at the pole positions club(wen you have purchaced it) .
gta 3 vive city is a must hav for all gamers....
p.s. cant wait for gta4 san adreas. all that i know about it is that their are children that u can hold hostage and that their is a theme park(go 2 the army base and face the enterance and then turn your back to the enterance and then look across the road on a billboard there is a advertisment on a theme park thats the one im talking bout)

I absolutly love this game. I hear people talking about how the graphis are to gory, or how the plot stinks, or how its to short?
#1 Who minds a little blood here and there? Its absolutly realistic. I love it when you have a chainsaw and when you cut people up, blood goes everywhere. Or in the middle of a shootout bullets fire non-stop. Is it really that bad? It would happen in real life. I mean if you take a chainsaw and cut off somones head whats going to happen? Blood, thats right, BLOOD.
#2 The plot is absolutly fantastic. Usually you have 3-5 people you do missions for right? Dont get me wrong, gta3 was great how you could meet other people and do missions for them, but gta4 kicks there ass in that catagory. Would you think that one day you are working for (For example) Diaz, doing missions, earning money, then the next thing you know you kill him and take over his mansion. Who would do such a thing? A backstabbing prick! Survival of the fitest. And once again i have to say how much reality this game has. In real life would you work for one of the biggest/richest man and town and not even think of taking over buissness? Well you do that and much more.
#3 People who say this game is short are not paying attention to there % number. Sure the missions seam tough and finding the hidden pachages are rouch. But when you do that is seams over right? WRONG. you have much more to do, RC races, Assests, Jumps, Rampages, taxi missions, pizza boy missions, vigilante missions, and much more! it takes months maybe even years to even get close. I'v had this game for 10 months and play it right when i get home to when i fall asleep and still only have 83%.
There is only one thing wrong with this game (or something to make it better). You cant go inside your Hideouts, why would it be a hide out if you can only hide in the garage? It would be sweet when ur being chased by the cops and the only safe haven is ur links view hotel and you climb up the stairs and sniper people out until its clear enough for a pay n spray.
One more thing to add, later there coming out with a new gta, its called sin city, thats right sin city, as in LAS VEGAS.

| BEST GAME IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!! | | Hyperonic Hellstorm from Burbank says (27/Jan/2004): | Grand Theft Auto 3 made a brave step into the 3D world and did it with a bang. it was one of my favorite games and i still play it today. but today i am playing the sequel to this hit. this game uses the same game engine as gta 3 but improved slightly. grand theft auto : vice city. i am reviewing the ps2 version and also as the seperate version of the game (not the double pack, that was changed a bit).
gameplay - 10/10 - you have total freedom. that is what makes a game good. if you want to take that car and kill everyone inside you can do it! if you want to take that car and drive over a cop to stir up trouble, you can do it! if you want to blow up a helicopter you can do it! and now you can fly helicopters and drive motorcycles! the helicopters are a little hard to drive at first but you get the hang of it real quickly. also the motorcycles can take to some used to, as well. rockstar did a very good job to make you feel like your doing this in the '80s also! people dress and say things like they would in the '80s. cars look like they are from the '80s. and also, with the music but i will get to that later on in my review, though. also there are tons more missions in this game then gta 3. you can also buy properties and get money from them. it's kinda like monoploy meets scarface. also there are many improvements like shooting tires and people through the windows. and speaking of tires, the police have adapted spike strips which can be a pain.
story - 7/10 - you start off as a mafiosco soldier, tommy vercetti, who just got out of jail. his old boss, sonny ferelli, knows there will be trouble if people see him around so him and his mafia "committee" decides to send him to vice city with some money and get the drug business started in the south. tommy takes two thugs with him and meets with the mafia contact, ken rosenburg, who is a "shmuck of a lawyer".
all four get in a car and head for the vice city docks to arrange the deal with the drug providers. they show up in a helicopter and a guy steps out with a brief case of cocaine. tommy and him are about to make the deal with a team of gunmen comes out and starts shooting. tommy runs back to the car and jumps through the window as ken rosenburg drives away. and that is where vice city starts...
graphics - 8/10 - when i played gta 3 for the first time i had to yell "holy crap this game looks good!". vice city did it too me, as well. only this time it was more like "holy crap! they improved the graphics just a little bit!" yes, vice city made some improvements to the graphics like cars. they have more detail plus the reflections of the miami-like sun on the car looks great. although, there are times when driving on the road you go faster then the game can keep up. the roads will sometimes have holes in them, trees will be missing, buildings will disappear, and simple stuff like that. it isn't a big thing at times but it get quite annoying when being chased from the army and all of a sudden your like "holy crap?! where's the bridge?!" and you think you are falling in the water but really the bridge hasn't loaded yet. also the game tends to look blurry and it can hurt your eyes. but besides that, the game looks great with lots of visuals,And It is the best game,now buy it! :)

i`ve already beaten the game and erased it to play it again that`s how gta crazy i am! ur parents might hate it but you`ll love it really.another reason to play is to enjoy yourself with riding around in a hot car loving the views and sights of beautiful people and pretty light of ocean beach.

Yah granny rules and I like busting into the jail all the cops after me jump on a table and I say, Say hello to my little friend with a gatling gun and blow there guts out I got this game quite awhile ago Its pretty fun I hit the lady at the bar and she took a machete and sliced me and I took a katana and said two can play at this game dice! her head flew off and when the cop kept coming to life I was like dont you learn how to die and I choped his head off! katanas arent very good for cop chases suggesting because you have to jog over there while tons of cops are shooting you or F.B.I. but if its slice kill and run that rules I like killing people and taking there cars I took a guy in a car since he stayed in and flung him into the ocean This game is rated 9/10 from me I reccomend you buy this game Goodbye so long!

If you think this game is stupid, then you and I would not get along.Most of my friends have this game and have beat it more than once.Just because you've beat it dosen't mean its boring.You can still go on killing sprees to get more money.The graphics aren't the best in the world, but as long as I can tell what everything is, its fine by me. It also has very funny radio stations, such as VCPR.Its really the only radio station I listen to, and it never gets old.Plus the cheat codes are awesome.You can get to the 2nd island without completing any missions with the cars float on water code.You can practicly never run out of ammo for your favorite gun as long as you keep on entering the weapons code.The last mission is really a suprise.Lance and Sonny Forelli were both against you, its a challenge beating them.If I were someone who dosen't have I would buy it now.Especially while you can get both grand theft auto 3 and vice city for under $40.00.
